Interesting fight I don't know who would win what are your thoughts on it? Fullmer iron jaw and relentless pressure vs mayweathers boxing skills I think it may end in a draw stylistically but that is my opinion.

Pressure fighters are his Floyd's nemesis, so a bigger stronger relentless guy at 160 that was very good would imo stop him !

Mayweather has already stated he`s too small to fight at 160, Fullmer beat Robi in their first meeting and Ray would have destroyed Floyd at 160.

Mayweather figures him out like he has with all past fighters. Makes him look BAD

His arms are too short to fight Robi at middleweight, Gene did far better against Robi than FGloyd would at 160 and he threw more punches than Floyd would, he`d run all night against most middleweight champs from the past, and he`d be slower carrying all that weight, how far up do you think Floyd could have gone? He started at super-feather.

It’s a plausible fight in the era of same day weigh ins. Floyd says Fuller has Bobby Boyd problems and wears illegal gloves, and goes nowhere near him.

Gene Fulmer was 5'8 with a 69 inch reach. Mayweather is 5'8 with a 72 inch reach.

Given that Fulmer fought during same day weigh ins, he might've been smaller than Canelo.

I don't have much confidence in picking a guy at a reach disadvantage who lost and drew with fighters worse than Floyd to beat him.

    Mayweather by decision.

    Sugar Ray Robinson was
    height
    5′ 11″
    reach 72½″

And Fullmer went 2-1-1 against him.

Floyd could not punch as hard as a middle and Fullmer was called the poster boy for toughness by the ring magazine when they rated him among the top 50 fighters of the last 50 years in a 1996 eddition. (shout out to Morlocks) No way could Floyd punch as hard as Ray Robinson at middle.

Fullmer took Robinson`s punches aside from one of the greatest hooks ever thown which would have also knocked Floyd cold and anyone else under middleweight. Canelo stood toe to toe with GGG no way could Floyd`s fragile little body do that, Fullmer looked and wass far stronger than Floyd, but yes Floyd`s reach would have caused problems for Gene, but a lot of Floyd`s speed would diminish at 160.

Floyd wouldn't weigh in at 160. Fulmer would enter the ring near 160 or a few pounds over and Floyd would enter well under. Robinson didn't fight like Mayweather.

A middleweight back then is the same size as a welterweight now. They've got similar height reach and weight. Fullmer hits harder and is more aggressive, but Mayweather is much more skilled. I see Mayweather having little problem here.
