I was watching a vid highlighting Loma and Floyd`s footwork and noticed Floyd actually slipped more than use his legs whereas Loma used more footwork and it seemed more impressive, is his footwok actually smarter than Floyd`s?

Floyds footwork is summed up by running and spoiling tactics. Loma uses angles in the pocket on the offensive. Floyd > Loma at spoiling. Loma > Floyd at fighting

You nailed it in your post. Floyd was more static with his feet using head and body movement.

Not defensively but offensively sure. He has quicker feet than Floyd but Floyd can cover more ground imo. Better is subjective, they both have excellent footwork what you find better might be due to what you expect them to do and how they have planned to win the fight.

Both have great footwork. However, Lomachenko and Floyd, particularly Floyd in later years as he moved up in weight, use footwork differently and for different purposes. Nominally, Floyd uses his footwork defensively and to set up counters. Lomachenko uses his offensively to change angles to get his opponent off balance to set up his own shots. Obviously, this isn't all they do fookwork-wise, but if you needed a rudimentary summation of their footwork, I would go with that.

I think a better comparison for Lomachenko's footwork would be a young Mike Tyson. Both used great footwork and upper body movement to change angles, to land shots in combination to the body and head, and both have great balance (which you need great footwork for).

Lomachenko has midget proportions. Mayweather is tall and has long ass arms, so he doesn't really on footwork as much as shorter guys. Lomachenko by far.

Uhhh... Loma throws 100X more punches than Floyd. If Floyd didn't stink up fights and threw more, he'd get hit way more often.

Loma’s footwork is more fancy and there to be seen. It’s like Whitaker...his defense wasn’t necessarily better, just fancier.

Not when PBF was at 130 and 135 he didn't.:deal: Go back and watch PBF's boxing clinic against Chico Corrales at 130. His performance in that fight was the best exhibition of the sweet science of the era.
