he did seem depressed at the age of 36 after his first elite opponent, but cmon it was defeat give him break. defeat makes people feel glum. 24 year old canelo felt bad too after his loss to elite...no difference, dont judge them differently, apart form the ten year difference in age they fought them, there is no difference.

GGG wasn't the same fighter after the first fight, and even if he still had an ounce of belief that he was what HBO and his fans hyped him out to be, Canelo took it when he beat him Mexican style. How does GGG cope with being told for years he is an unbeatable KO monster who fights Mexican style by HBO and his fans only to get beat "Mexican style" by a shorter smaller fighter? As a fan I can say there is zero shame to losing to one of the best fighters of this current era, but for GGG he fell from the very high peddlestool HBO unfairly put him on. Canelo took Golovkin's soul. As sad as it is, it nothing new in boxing, in fact that's part of the sport.
