    This forum is ridiculous.

This is a great step up fight.

Stiverne isn't as bad as Wilder made him look.

Joyce is a monster so I don't think many would last rounds with him.

If Joyce destroys him its because he's a boss.

Go wank over some obscure hype job dwarfs

Poor fight, and a real disappointment after all the Joyce Ortiz talks. Not sure who to blame here, so I might as well just blame everybody involved.

This is why the HW division has tanked in America.

This is 2019, not 2013. Back then he used to actually train.

****ing Derric Rossy nearly beat him back in 2015.

Easy fight for JoJo, but I guess he still has a name, despite being past it and never any good anyway.
Wonder how many would actually favor Stiverne in this bout, just for him having had a paper belt once.

This is a big fight , the world's been waiting for Stivernes revenge when he got his dreadlocks punched off in his gym when Joyce waltzed in before the Wilder rematch . Rumor has it Stivernes performance was bad because the Juggernaut scrambled his brains .

Fight of the year unless It gets overshadowed by Ortiz who has a habit of stealing the show . :number_one:

Have you seen recent footage of Stiverne training? He looks utterly shot, he's even fatter than before, his punches now are so slow he makes Joyce look like Amir Khan in regards to hand speed. Stiverne right now I don't think is even a top 50 fighter.

Joyce's handlers don't believe in him much, as it seems...

Possibly, I think he's struggling to find decent opposition that will fight him. He had to pay his last opponent more than he got to get that fight. Washington choose to fight Kownacki instead, they couldn't pay Chisora enough to fight him and so he's left fighting guys like Stiverne who has no better options than Joyce.

The Ortiz fight is the fight they've talked about but so far I'm seeing little real desire to actually make that fight. When they both last fought and Ortiz said on camera he'd take the fight, I don't think Joyce looked like he was totally confident. I think he and his team knows it's a huge risk to fight Ortiz at this stage. There maybe indeed a lack of belief from his team and maybe even himself in regards to facing Ortiz.

Joyce apparently destroyed Stiverne in sparring in preparation for B-Ware's rematch with Wilder.

Joyce is a slow but powerful guy and Stiverne was a pretty good counter puncher several years ago but now totally shot.. Joyce within 3.

If Ortiz was entertained as an opponent but now replaced with Stiverne... what can Joyce really learn from this fight? To then go back to Ortiz?

He should have just grown some balls and fought Ortiz... or his handlers even.

Would have been tough for Joyce but at least it wouldn't waste time. He needs some real challenges now. I get they are building him up but he is kind of a special case with his abilities and age.

Yes but there is absolutely no room for lack of belief at this level.

Otherwise he has already failed and will bot amount to anything.

A key attribute of the top level guys is confidence in spades and thats a huge part of what got them to where they are today.

    Wilder - supremely confident
    AJ - same
    Fury - same
    Pov - same
    Ortiz - same
    Whyte - same

You can't afford to have a doubtful mentality if you wanna be a top contender. You are going to have to take the big fights to show you got the mettle against other hungry lions.

Joyce seems a bit spaced out... he's a

"Yeah erm...ohh... yeah was alright.. I think... I think... I can do well"

kind of guy. Now compare that to the demeanour of the guys I mentioned.. worlds apart.

"Not man born of his mother can beat me" "I'll fight him.in his own backyard"

Not bad. An in shape Stiverne could make it interesting for the early rounds. That is, if he is in shape for this bout.
