Danny Garcia should have taken 3 million to fight Crawford. He probably could have asked Arum for a little more maybe 3.5. But now he is going to fight Granados in a joke fight that no one wants. Garcia turned down Crawford, Pacquiao and i believe Floyd wanted to fight him but no offer was made. Garcia is not in charge with losses to Porter and Thuman.
True, turning down an ageing Pac Man and a bigger money fight with Crawford shows a lack of guts and self-belief. These are 2 fights that others would jump at, like Amir Khan always goes to fight the best. Why did I brink Amir Khan into, personally, I would love to see them rematch. Legacy wise, Garcia really should have taken those fight.
Garcia is not marketable and he is not an elite fighter so doesn’t really matter what’s happening with him unless you are a big DG fan
Garcia and his papi want easy fights. They will step up occasionally when it all makes sense, but otherwise they will play it safe.
Guy could have been a lot richer as he is today, and I don't get it at all. I figured that after the "O" bubble burst, he'd go for maximum earnings instead of still trying to defend his O that simply isn't there anymore. Just weird.
I like Danny Garcia and have been a fan through thick and thin but after two close losses to Thurman and Porter I thought he would want to leap at a chance for a huge fight Had he put forth poor showings or had been totally outclassed I would say yes take a step back and tune up but if he fought a tight fight with Porter he could have pushed for a rematch or called out another elite guy I really dont get it
I think he's one of the most marketable guys in boxing now. He's a Puerto Rican and his fights do numbers. He probably just didn't think he could beat Crawford and wants Spence whom I think is a better fight for Garcia, or a rematch with Porter or Thurman.
