How is Groves a better puncher than GGG? Because he dropped Froch(which he couldn't do again in the rematch)
If you want to play that game then I can easily bring up the fact that Golovkin dropped Murray, and actually stopped him.

Groves can punch, and his power is world class. But his power is not elite.

I think froch is a bit of a git but he would have walked through the super-middleweight equivalent of canelo

 

Groves, Kessler, Bute and Abraham would get brutally knocked out by a prime Golovkin.

Is Golovkins? His power all but disappeared when he stepped up to elite level. Groves nearly KO’ing iron chinned Froch is a more impressive display of power than anything GGG has shown us. Couldn’t stop chinny Jacobs, and didn’t knock down or even hurt Canelo over 24 rounds. Didn’t visibly hurt or KD welterweight Brook either. Groves has the bigger one punch power.

 

Canelo has only been hurt once in his career. (Golovkin also arguably hurt him late in the rematch)
Couldn't stop Jacobs? Well Groves couldn't hurt Jack. (And he couldn't stop Murray)

And why was Brook flailing around the ring? He was visibly hurt in the opening round FFS.

Is now Jermain Taylor also a bigger puncher than Golovkin? Let's not forget that Taylor too knocked Froch down. Your entire argument is based on a first round KD of Froch.

 

Jermaine Taylor had good power, and was an elite counter puncher. The shots you don’t see coming are much more likely to hurt/floor you. GGG is not that kind of puncher. Power in boxing isn’t as black and white as that.

Groves was shot to bits by the time he fought Murray/Jack (who has shown a very good chin despite his KO loss), Froch ruined him in the second fight. Stole his prime and his confidence. Visibly a very different fighter.

I said a good puncher not big puncher. Elite maybe stretching it but the guy could counter very well. GGG is not a counter puncher at all.

 

why is canelos chin proof a light middle weight who spent more than half his career at welterweight?
