Well I just look at how Toney slips and dodges punches coming his way.. not really looking at his opponent... and Toney looks way more in his element vs Floyd who clearly got reflexes but it looks like his slips have been heavily practiced ... Toney looks like he just woke up and had to dodge bullets to get to burger king.

I personally think James Toney had very likely the highest skillset of any modern fighter I've ever seen.

Toney had everything: Power, physical strength, handspeed, combination punching, excellent jab, excellent
cross, excellent uppercut, excellent left hook, excellent defense, excellent footwork..........and an otherwordly chin. Only flaw was his utter laziness in and out of the ring. He didn't even train, he barely took boxing seriously. There are not alot of fighters throughout history that literally had everything. (Even Floyd at SFW didn't have everything).

And for those who point to losses, skillset doesn't equate to wins and losses, it's literally the variety that one has in their arsenal. I'll use Tevin Farmer for example today (I know he's nothing like Toney): I think there's a few guys out there that can beat Farmer, I don't think anyone that I would pick to beat him has a skillset at his level (except Loma).

You can make a good argument that Toney was the most skilled fighter of all time. If he had trained like Marciano he would have been the greatest fighter of all time. But "if" is a big word...

Could argue that dedication is a talent, no one trains as hard as Mayweather.

But Toney for me was more talented, he's the most natural fighter I've ever seen.

Toney would have been incredibly weight drained at 154, similar to Canelo, Floyd feasts on Weight drained fighters and beats them comfortably.

This has nothing to do with Golovkin.

A washed up oscar dela Hoya won 5-6 rounds off Floyd, Golovkin would have brutally destroyed Oscar, facts, deal with it.

Ggg is a career mw you damn fool. Pbf fought Oscar in his 5th weight class with a stacked deck and still won. When did gggs scarry ass leave 160? Hell he wouldn't even move up 1 weight class to fight light punching ward. You remember ward right? The same guy who made kovalev quit the same kovalev you said would put ward in a coma under a previous banned alt. Lmfao

I never said Kovalev would put Ward in a coma.

Doesnt change facts, GGG is a natural 160 pounder, Floyd feasts on washed up drained fighters. Golovkin generally fights people his own size, Canelo is a short but natural 160 pounder. If Golovkin had a certain passport he would get a pass for beating smaller fighters with officiating handicaps.

If he feasts on washed up and drained fighters as you say then how is rated greater than ggg? What does that say about gggs resume?
Lastly you picked kovalev to stop ward dont run now.

Hes rated greater because of his passport and victories over overrated fighters with massive fanbases, and the fact that hes undefeated. Golovkin doesnt have that privilege, he is a foreigner from Borat land. Fighters with massive fanbases are overrated many times and it doesnt make them any better than fighters with smaller fanbases. Jacobs is less popular than Chavez junior yet Jacobs would beat him from pillar to post. Miguel Cotto was massively overrated because of the massive following and marketing as well, its all smoke and mirrors.

Floyd went life and death with Maidana

Kovalev beat Ward but got robbed.
