Only lost to ATGs like Hasim Rahman and Nate Tubbs.

Louis lost to Schmeling, Ali lost to Spinks, Lennox lost to Rahman, Foreman lost to Young, Holmes lost to Spinks, Liston lost to Marshall.

    Bums, all of them.

How dare they drop a fight to somebody below their pay grade.

    Except Marciano ;)

Lol Byrd prob one won round that fight. Lewis was getting spanked. Lewis is the greatest HW ever no shame in losing to him due to cuts. But Klit proved he had a steel mandible in that fight.
Lewis is 6'7 250 lbs. Like I said only Lewis can beat Klit h2h. 50/50 for me.

    all
of these bear no relation to sanders not getting into contention for the title in his prime, by getting stopped brutally by rahman for instance.

Vital would win 10 times out of 10, the real question is with his ultra defensive style would he knock buster out or go for a u.d? If klit really wanted to bring the heat Mathis would be out of commission before the 5th

    Is Lewis 6'7" ? Don't fool us ! I think Lennox wasn't a full 6'5" tall fighter.

    Maybe you're right.
Lewis and Klit are still the GOAT H2H.

Yet he went 11 with Frazier, finished on his feet ,and was level on the referees score card?

Lewis is far and away more proven against quality opposition.Vitali fought quite a few patsies.

Idiots say Lewis' chin was weak ,yet he took all Vitali's shots without going down ? Lewis faced a lot more punchers than Vitali ever did,and a lot more stiffer competition.

Byrd won multiple rounds and made Vitali look like an amateur.

There's no shame in losing the opening rounds since he took the fight on a weeks notice and had never seen any footage of Vitali going in.
It didn't take him long to adjust to Vitali's predictable style and as soon as he did he began easily out box him.
Vitali then refused to rematch Byrd who he knew had sussed him out.

Id take Vitali over Mathis in a very close fight where Vitali looks clumsy throughout.

He wouldn't dominate Mathis any worse than Hoffman and Mathis would surly win a few more rounds than Hoffman did.

Different fighters different fights, vitali wouldn't go to the body like Frazier did, vitali would have the dominant jab and bust buster's skull with one two combos all night.

I don't agree. Byrd was missing so much and when he did land it was like bug bites. Amateur?

Lewis showed he had a pretty good chin in the Mercer fight.
