Canelo threw far more punches than Ray did v Hagler andd his punches were far harder v GGG also.

Says who? Canelo fought a very good strategical fight against GGG. But, he is no major league puncher at middleweight. There are hundreds of fighters (including Jones and GGG) who hit much harder.

Triple G had trouble hitting Canelo square with his power shots. He wasn't quick enough. Jones was blazing fast. He would land and land square, not once in awhile but in rapid fire fashion.

    That is the difference.

Golovkin might well be one of the hardest punching middleweights of all time.

Whatever you think of him as a fighter, the body of testimony from opponents and sparring partners, is simply too great to ignore!

Jones got pinned on the ropes quite often and wasn`t as evasive on the ropes as Canelo was v GGG in their first bout.

Even with Canelo using the high guard like he has in the second GGG bout and his first fight at super middle.

What moments would you point to when peak Roy was pinned often and visibly affected by body punches?

This is why people are shocked when a fighter says the hardest puncher he ever faced isn’t the guy who knocked him out

I was comparing him to Ray in the Hagler fight, Ray was moving mostly and rallying at the end of rounds, Canelo stood toe to toe with GGG in a thriller and was sitting down on his shots Ray waas moving on his toes while punching or just throwing pitty pat combos.

He’s going to say the Montell Griffen fight . That’s the fight that proves to him that Roy Jones was not a great fighter.

Jones was a great fighter which is why he should have fought better v Griffin, he was a great fighter with fundamental flaws, he also used to be my favourite fighter in the 90`s, I`ve re-revised my view on him that`s all, his hand speed was amazing.

Yes ,,Jones certainly gave me the impression of delivering at times ,great one shot power punches John. Which is not to say that GGG didn't ,perhaps that's just a personal view i ve got watching both men .
