You won't believe me but I was thinking he was just like Kingpin the whole fight.

Broner is a 4 weight world champ.

So? Layla McCarter is a 5 weight/8x world champ, and is slicker than Broner, and has a better resume.

Oh, and more importantly than all of that (from Broner's perspective), Floyd actually likes & respects her.

Another difference: Johnson has a vastly superior jab (when he bothers)

We're talking men's boxing here. I'm sure layla is a very accomplished female boxer if that is indeed her accomplishments.

Conquering 4 weight divisions is still a hell of a task. Here's a challenge for you, create a list of all the 4 weight divisions champs. You'll find Broner is in very good company.

And none of his peers on that list will have nearly as many accusations levied at them - by untold generations' worth of historians studying the sport for posterity - of weight-bullying & cherry-picking and overall being a multiple-division paper champ, as Broner.

Not to mention Broner should have already had two losses on his record before he even competed for a world title. (DPDL and Quintero, both clear losses)

His career was a manufactured and carefully protected joke.

Kingpin at least got as far as he did on raw talent & grit, and challenged himself steadily until the permanent sparring partner mentality kicked in.

Still, credit where credit is due. If being a 4 weight division champ was so easy, everyone would be doing it. He still has to beat the guys in front of him. You know, like he smashed DeMarco, Linares daddy.

One of them had the honor of facing the HW H2H GOAT early in his career. That’s about it.

Very good company at the bottom of the list just below the 5 blank spaces left for the future 4 division champs that will emerge.

I think Broner is good enough to beat Tor Hamers and Christian Hammers of his division with ease. Kingpin never was able to do that. But yes, they both just don't want or too are too scared to throw punches

Which only shows how easy it is to pick up a title these days with the proliferation of titles and weight divisions. I mean look who he beat to win those titles, De Marco, Allakhverdiev, Rodriguex and Malignaggi.

What's Broner's best win? Malignaggi perhaps but many though Broner lost that fight. Maybe De Marco who beat Linares but with Linares again showing he has a china chin recently being stopped for the 5th time vs a nobody that doesn't say much about De Marco.
