I think Porter is a bit gunshy now. Hes not the brawler he used to be. Against Garcia and Granados, Porter was actually more of a boxer than anything else. And honestly, I don't see how Porter can outbox Manny. And Porter was Manny's sparring partner for a while. I think this is the next fight PBC should make for Manny.
He's nowhere near A level, more like B- to C+. I think the Broner that fought Pac is top 10 though, maybe 9-10. Who would I pick to beat him at WW clearly? spence, crawford, mikey, pac, danny, thurman, porter, khan. Now Vargas, Horn, Ugas, kavaliuaskas, dulorme are all even money with him, in fact I think I'd pick this fit version of broner to beat those guys. He'd beat the other contenders pretty easily, samuel vargas or Diaz. I also think he would do far better in 140, probably top 5 there.
Carlos Molina, Emmanuel Taylor and Adrian Granados are C level and Broner certainly didn't shine against them.
Depends which AB shows up But seriously, he beat all those guys convincingly enough except Granados. I also think that since he's a B- level fighter, on a bad night he will struggle with a C level fighter. But on a good night, he should whoop them easy. 147 is quite a bit of weight on him. He needs more performances like he did Demarco.
He is definitely better, and would have given his best. But I don't think Porter can outbox Manny. And right now it seems like Porter prefers to box instead of brawl.
I don't know. I think Porter could really outwork Manny now on the inside. It sounds crazy I know, but he is young and busy.. And Manny is old.
That I agree with. If Porter comes to fight say how he did Thurman, it will be absolute hell for Manny. Manny can't keep up with a high pace, that's why Horn beat him. But these days Porter seems to be a boxer first, spending a lot of time on the back foot. And I doubt he can beat Manny that way.
