Possibly one of the greatest back and forth brawls in the history of pugilism. I thought Freddie died by the end of it, but gat damn, so much heart shown

Hagler vs Hearns was the disappointing sequel to this

Forman is probably the most massive 225lb man I've ever seen

6'4" and extremely muscular with a stocky frame will do that, though that's an odd thing to say considering 225lbs is huge

Sorry, I was looking at it from an average human perspective

Foreman may look a bit bigger than his weight due to being less fat than today's heavies

When did Foreman weigh 215? I usually regard his prime weight as 220 but I know he weighed 217 for the Frazier fight. Maybe early in his career?

I thought he weighed 215 for Frazier maybe I'm off by a couple lbs. Foreman to me has always looked much bigger than what his body weight was in his prime yrs.

I think I read somewhere that George used to cut a lot of weight to come in at 217-220 range and his walking around weight was a lot larger. This maybe a reason why he had stamina issues in his first career. I don't get the point of why he did it but I just remember reading it.

Foreman was/is a naturally big, strong man. I remember seeing him with Riddick Bowe post fight back in the 90's and though Bowe was slightly taller George was much more solid and heavyset.

What's always fascinated me was the way Foreman looked so much more powerful than Ken Norton...something that was touched upon by SI when they covered the Foreman-Norton bout. Norton was perceived as a "body beautiful" and he did convey a certain power, but nothing like the way Foreman did.

Built like an ox. Just had this wall-like energy, Jeffries, Hagler and Marciano had something similar imo

I've heard many times that Saddler dehydrated him leading up to the weigh-ins but have never seen this confirmed. It certainly seems plausible to me based on the eye test (look at my profile picture) and the reasoning behind this may have been similar to some folk-science version of blood doping.

George did a pretty good job on Sanford and son as well. He had hard time trying not to laugh at Red Foxx

Freddie Prinze's impression of Ali was spot on and hilarious, i actually laughed out loud. Was not expecting that.

The skit itself was very uncharacteristic of the brooding scowling George especially because this happened after Zaire when he was at his lowest point mentally. Maybe he ate a good burger that day lol.
