It does. AB who won't let his hands go vs Duran = Duran WUD12 AB who lets his hands go vs Duran = AB KO9 Duran
Broner is fast and slick I could see him frustrating Duran the way SRL did. Really depends which broner shows up, limitless talent and potential.
The second scenario I do not see. Broner stands too still for Duran and does not have the skills to do what Leonard, Benitez or Hearns did. that is a high caliber, and if he is in reach Duran takes him apart. Not many guys could blast out Duran except a great like Thomas Hearns with speed and reach and skills, but Broner is not that caliber. Duran would in my mind knock out Broner in 6-8 rounds. Any weight. It wouldn't even be a tough fight for him. Broner was overrated and still is.
Oh I totally agree Duran wins if the AB who fought Maidana, Manny, Mikey, and Porter shows up, but if the one who fought Fernando Quintero, Ponce De Leon, Paulie, Granados, and Vargas shows up Duran's in big trouble.
Broner was managed very well. His management deserves a reward for getting him 4 titles with his skill level. Ithink Duran wins no matter which Broner would ever shows up. And not too difficult either. This is a cake walk for him. The guys who beat Broner are better than those guys you mentioned Quintero. DeLeon, Grandados and Vargas. Even if Granados knocks out Danny in one round, I wouldn't change my opinion. I don't see Duran in trouble at all. this is a fight he would love to take and probably win relatively easy. He would love the prefight stuff and it would really get him motivated in the fight. I guess I have to be the one defending Duran which is odd for me but I never said he was not great-, he is a great fighter and better than all the guys Broner has fought except Manny. The level of Duran compared to Broner is unreachable. Broner really is not that good. Like I said his management needs to be commended.
AB doesn't let his hands go ever. He never wears guys down. He catches guys then stops them. He does terrible when he doesn't lead. You honestly believe Duran allows AB to lead?
Broner enters the ring to "Like a Virgin", Duran enters to "Ben". Broner starts the fight with his hands by his side walking Duran down. Duran hits Broner with multiple flush shots to the chin and body but Broner keeps coming forward. Broner hasn't thrown a punch but Duran is starting to get tired in the first round. Broner throws out a feeler left jab that knocks Duran out cold. Everyone agrees Broner is the greatest fighter the world has ever seen. Everyone leaves the arena in a quiet and orderly fashion.
Old Duran could have rolled off the couch into his 40's with nary a tune-up and easily dismantled the crude in comparison Broner. Movement and negating Duran's aggression was the way to beat him (Until he hit middleweight anywway). You needed a great pair of feet to contend with his non-stop pressure. Everyone that beat him had fleet feet. Ray Leonard, Wilfred Benitez, even Kirkland Laing. This content is protected This content is protected
