Pov I don't really know. I'm guessing because it was a mando that's what the split worked out. Parker had a belt and Fury was the champion and a bigger name.
Perhaps if that's the case then Whyte should wait to be called the mando and makes more that way, but IMO its what he can gain long term.

And Parker having a belt, that's great, that adds value - but it is not the defining factor for splits. Splits is purely business and figures based on marketing, forecasting, promotion, reputation, draw, previous successes. And Whyte is MORE of a draw than Parker which offsets the belt theory because the belt does not bring money to the table.

Fans bring money to the table. The fans go by who is fighting.... and who they like. Dillian brings explosive entertainment... a FANS dream... a CASUAL fans dream.... the casuals make up the MAJORITY.
