Quick question - is notorious weight cutter Canelo, a man famous for piling on the pound post weigh in to gain an advantage earlier on his career embarrassing himself by hypocritically asking other fighters such as Jacobs to sign rehydration clauses now he has moved up in weight?

Yes, no? If no then why?

I think it is embarrassing but he's the cashcow and if Jacobs wants the fight he needs to bow down . That's how it works

I don't blame Jacobs for taking the fight under these conditions, I blame Canelo for benefiting from day before weigh ins for years so he could outweigh his opponents and get an advantage only to **** and moan it's not fair for opponents to attempt to do the same to him.

When has he been massively outweighed by a big weight cutter? Please don't say the ghost of the always bang average JCC Jr.

Yeah I agree I don't like it . I didn't like it ever but it is what it is . Besides Jacobs did the 10 pound. Limit second day weigh in against derevyanchenko so it's not that bad

Jacobs fought under the exact same conditions in his last fight and Canelo didn't......
    Who has the advantage???

Obviously Canelo is the smaller guy though tbf

Canelo only looks like he piles on the lbs because he's a midget

10lbs on a dwarf looks like a huge difference
10lbs on Jacobs and it isn't that noticeable

Jarrett Hurd puts on a hell of a lot more weight than Canelo ever did or will

Him often refusing to get on the fight night scales suggests otherwise.

Bernard Hopkins fought Oscar at a catchweight. Canelo fought Floyd at a catchweight . Its the privileges of the cashcow get use to it

It's hypocritical of Canelo even if I believe it should definitely be the universal rule. Weight bullying, clinching, and doping are the three worst problems we have in boxing, which the fighters are responsible for. The promoters and officials have their own problems, but weight bullying should be at the top of everyone's list if you are looking to fix the sport.
