What about Jacobs ? Does he want Canelo weakened ? Apparently they both agreed to it. Jacobs is known for skipping the same day weigh-in like he did against GGG, but in his last fight he had one.
He didn't have one for his last fight. his fight w/ SD was for the IBF belt. They automatically enforce a 10 pound limit. And no, Danny Jacobs isn't KNOWN for doing that... cut that crap out.
He's known for skipping it since he didn't participate in the same day weigh-in vs GGG and as a result couldn't win the IBF title that night. But after that, the IBF apparently changed their rules about enforcing the same day limit in unification fights. However like you said, in his last fight with SD the IBF automatically enforced the limit since it's wasn't a unification fight. Now it's a unification fight again, so despite the rule change, it's the same situation that it was for GGG Jacobs when Jacobs skipped it. I am not a fan of same day weigh-ins or rehydration clauses, but to blame Canelo for demanding it doesn't make sense since it's Jacobs' title that has a history of enforcing them.
You do realize Jacobs was subjected to a 10lb rehydration clause for his last fight? Were you also outraged?
You're using too much logic for some of these guys. They're probably confused after reading your post.
They are both doing the same 10lb limit. Jacobs already has experienced this when he chose to do it for the dreviachenko fight. Advantage JACOBS!!! haters hate because golden boy is the staple of boxing
Lmao! So Canelo who according to YOU rehydrates to 180 lbs wants a rehydration clause to weaken Jacobs? How stupid are some of you? I'd also like to see your source for Canelo weighing 180 lbs on fight night.
Yes and no. As a fight in itself Jacobs is big for a Middle, very big and has ignored rehydration clauses before. But then its GBP and Canelo we are talking about. The biggest **** takers when it comes to abusing weight limits and forcing other fighters to do things for them.
