    I wasn't criticizing Mayweather's performance.

Nah, he did ok. If nothing else, he kept the Brits hyped, and not get hot too much. But if I'm going to compare how tough someone was for Floyd, I wouldn't use Hatton. FMJ went through some heat in quite a few of his fights when he was younger and lighter.

i dont think anyone would have made anything of it without the months of hearing what a badass linares was, obvious proof of lomas divine nature.

Hatton was coming UP in weight to Mayweather. Floyd was taller, longer, faster.

The size disparity between Linares and Loma was far more apparent.....and Loma was moving up. Linares was dwarfed physically by Cano.

    There's no comparisons here.

The size disparity between Linares and Lomachenko was exaggerated by the same people who argued that Rigondeaux was the same size as Loma

A boxers resume will take it's ups & downs, this has always been thus & always thus will be... Swing's & roundabouts!

Linares is a quality operator who pushed the weight jump a tad too far... He's a brilliant offensive fighter when his opponent isn't hugely physical or heavy handed which Loma isn't! Its all about styles... Loma Linares was a skills match up.

Sad to see Linares end like that because he's been a fine champion of our era but he's had 50 fights now... If he carries on he'd probably be better suited to 135.

Yep, you're right! Lomachenko has now been exposed as a total and an otherworldly fraud. In fact, he's been so badly exposed that he should consider killing himself, committing suicide by hanging himself out of the sheer INSANE shame for his ASTRONOMICALLY WOEFUL performance against Linares.

Which is why you'd think it'd be better off not talking about frauds like Lomachenko the way the OP is doing? Since he has been confirmed to be such a fraud by having his 'stock' go so low down, then why even entertain the idea of discussing about this fraud and why waste the time altogether?

Complete nonsense! First of all Linares was very good at 135lbs, second only to Mikey. He was a great fight for Loma and although outboxed by him, he showed his skills and boxing knowledge in spots.
Second, he got destroyed by the pressure of a way bigger fighter than him. Lomachenko never had big power even at 126lbs, so he couldn't hurt Linares at 135. He TKOed him after the accumulation of punches and hitting him to the liver after making him gass by his high activity. Have you seen how big Cano was? He's a weight bully. You set up ste standards for Loma higher than for the other boxers and probably wouldn't be satisfied until he knock out GGG or Canelo cold with one punch.
Third, Linares didn't help himself with his weight and made a stupid decision, being that after struggling to make the weight at 135lbs, he wrighted in too much under 140lbs weight limit for both of his fights at 140lbs.

    Congrats to Cano, fair play.

But as I just said on another thread, styles makes fights. In Cano Linares met the bull, in Loma he faced the matador.

Yes, those were 2 completely different fights for Linares. He met a skillful, highly active boxer, who doesn't punch hard, in Loma, and a guy who's skills are inferior, but is a pressure fighter, who's bigger, stronger and punches harder, in Cano.
