This vid explains Broner`s delusional mindset and also claims he did exceptionally well evading so many punches, does Broner have a good defense? This content is protected
I don`t think Broner was a stiff test but what decade was it hardest for a 40 year od with the offensive skill of Manny to win title fights?
Broner is a narcissist. He did avoid many punches, he went to distance, and his face was virtually unmarked after the fight. Based on his skewed world view that was probably sufficient for him to believe he won.
A 40 year old would not be relevant in the 1980s.. in the 1980s he would have never been able to fight effectively. Guys like Hearns and Leonard and Benitez would have destroyed him. Even Harold Weston. Curry, McCrory. Starling. Brown. A big list. Too many titles now and the talent is watered down . a 40 year old then in any division did not happen. Foreman came out in 1987 at what age? 39? And people said no way..And that was at heavyweight, where guys can fight older because of the bigger slower out of shape guys. Today it is watered down. Canelo would have had a lot more resistance then, and GGG would not have been a long time champ.
He believes he won because he's an incredibly deluded individual! I don't know how he expects to be winning fights against opponents when he's throwing 3 punches a round, it's madness :')
Sure his defence was probably good but he needed to throw twice as many punches as he did to have a chance.
Good video. I believe Broner knows deep down the truth. His Ego must not let everyone else know that he thinks he lost. I would love to know what his closest friends and trainers are telling him in regards to if he lost or not. That would interest me a lot.
The middleweights that would hasve given GGG problems in the 80`s were McCallum, Hagler and Hearns, GGG would have destroyed Nunn. Foreman would not be world champ today and even said Fury and Wilder would have beaten him in his prime! You are 100% right about the welter division in the 80`s though which had more depth than middle and heavyweight at that time I`d say.
Maybe it would be like watching Eubank Sr tell his son to his face that he got beat by Groves after having the cheek to say Jr was going to be better than Mayweather!
Not if he threw the amount of punches he did v Manny, but he did take shots that Loma couldn`t though, Broner may have to come from behind though because Loma is far more talented than him in almost every department.
