Well, he does have multiple fixed bouts on his record, wasn't exactly a top flight amateur to begin with, and wasn't known as someone willing to travel to prove anything.

His resume has some of the most padded records of all time on it. Midwest "knockout artists" like Don Steele.

I know I'm getting pretty obscure here so I'm fine if no one knows WTF I'm talking about. Give Ray Mercer vs Don Steele a watch if you ever find yourself needing a laugh.

Well I am American, and don’t necessarily like or dislike him? I wasn’t aware there was an “American” disdain towards him!

Interesting. Please let me know which fights were fixed, and will you testify in court?
Brian Nielsen beat a lot of undertrained american fatsoes without much trouble.
By the way, I am Danish and I had Larry Holmes winning against Nielsen, as the "Home" judge also had it. The American scored it for Nielsen.

As an American, I must ask; who the hell is Brian Neilson?

Yes...indifference,...probably worse than being disliked or hated. You have to have some importance or, ...um..."gravitas" to earn being disliked or hated.

But those who called him that are usually kept indoors save for a few hours of liberty during the day.

So to further clarify, it's fat, old Americans that hate him?

Miracle I haven't heard of the guy.

I mean, it's pretty common knowledge that some of his fights were fixed. Use your google machine. Hell even Nielsen's Wiki page talks about it.
