Emanuel Steward even said Lewis WAS in shape for that fight and the extra weight they weren’t worried about because Vitali usually came in at a solid 248-250lbs.

Pianeta making Wlad look past prime is a terrible critique to lay on the man . Bums like Pianeta make guys look good , not bad , regardless of what stage they are at in their careers.
Example , Pianeta made Chagaev look like a beast but in reality Chaggy was shot to bits as we saw in his very next fight when he was stopped by Lucas Browne.
We all saw what Whyte did to Browne

If WK at 36 is being made look past it by Pianeta then that can only mean that WK was never as great as his stupid fanboys claimed he was!

Some perspective - Vitali was more experienced and had more fights against Lewis than AJ when he fought Wlad.
He had already been a world champion whereas AJ was just a prospect.
AJ became a much better fighter after the Klitschko fight and keeps getting better so perspective says Vitali would be up against a much better AJ than the green novice version who blew his younger brother away.

Broner just made Pacman look a lot better than he actually is. If Wlad was an ATG level fighter , a bum like Pianeta would not be making him look past it. You're meant to look good against those type of guys , not worse !!!

Vitali wasn't prime, aside having a minimal camp he was coming off a bad shoulder injury. He'd also had a bad knee injury. Prime was 99-02. And he lost on a cut opened by nefarious means aided by a hopeless referee when 4-2 up on three cards. That's why the rematch was ordered next day. Note the WBC ordered the Fury Wilder rematch in similar fashion, they know when an issue is unsettled.

 

Good point. Lewis looked nothing like his prime when he plodded forward like a statue against Vitali. His timing was gone and there was no snap in his shots

Wlad was primer and in better nick even though he was older.
Had he fought a bum he would have retired with a win like Vitali did at the same age.

I tend to agree with you on this.
However after seeing Dozens of comments I question. I never heard Vitali speak English. Many in the comments say he's punch drunk or low Iq & resorts to rage in debates.
I think Wlad is high I just question Vitali's.

 

Has anyone suggested Vitali gets himself a T shirt wherein he's holding Fury and Joshua's severed heads. We know how disrespectful him and Wlad consider that a gesture.

It’s hilarious how some people here are claiming joshua hit harder than Lewis. The uppercut Lewis hit Vitali with is harder than ANYTHING joshua has ever thrown in his life. And Michael Sprott already said Corrie Sanders hits harder than joshua.
