Canelo`s offense is improving, he`d knock Broner out and deal with a lot easier than Manny did, you shouldn`t compare Manny to Canelo unless you think Manny could have beat Canelo at 154!

Styles man, styles. Duran, like Loma are better than Pac at cutting the ring off because they square up more and get on the inside. Pac is a mid range fighter and controls range using his footspeed. That's why he darts (lunges) in and out to control the range.

Floyd controlled that range, not with his jab but with footwork and other veteran shady tactics he uses. OK, full credit for the footwork, everytime took a step forward, he took a stepback and misdirected Pac. However, Pac can still close that if he really wanted to, but then Floyd adds the element of danger so Pac can't simply walk in - a counter right hand.

Now bare in mind Pac is already the smaller guy, you're the smaller guy trying to reach a taller guy, but not only are you shorter, but also smaller, meaning you don't really want to be pumelled and countered on the inside all that much either.

His only chance was to counter Floyd, and then when he hits Floyd, he can unleash. He did that, he countered Floyd, as hard as that is, but soon as he unleashes, Floyd grabs (illegal), so that spoils the fight and takes away from one of Pac's few opportunities.

So its a compound of things, but Floyd had a lot of advantages going into that fight. Forget shoulder injury, this is styles and tactics. Before the fight, I had a feeling the fight could turn out to be very boring if Floyd employed a "certain" strategy. That strategy is his last resort if he feels danger. He used it vs Castillo 2, and Maidana 2. Had he fought Pac like he did Cotto for example, he would have been stopped. Same for all his opponents, if they fight him like Cotto and Hatton did, they get stopped.

He's not getting stoppage because these fighters are in survival/defensive mode, rather than offensive.

Prime Manny I'd easily pick over Canelo. No reason he couldnt do what Floyd did in outboxing Canelo and what Khan did for a few rounds. It be like his fight against ODLH.

Dont forget that Cotto was outboxing Canelo from the outside too, and Canelo couldn't exactly ktfo Cotto, Pac is just as tough as Cotto.

As for Canelo-Broner, Canelo walks him down and stops him inside 5 rounds.
