Barclays Center on April 27th (most likely; backup date 5/18). WBC heavyweight title at stake, ninth defense of Wilder. There was a weight disparity last time of just over "three stone" (44lbs, to be precise...or a third of a lightweight ). In the rematch that could narrow to a 2- or even 1½ stone difference, given the continued weight loss of the once 28-stone challenger, and the fact that Wilder last time weighed in his lightest since his professional debut and will presumably beef up to nearer his career average of 220lbs.
Wilder KO, Fury fought a perfect fight the first time, the only one with room for improvement is Deontay. His team will study the tape, find a flaw, and exploit it.
The better boxing mind typically has more room for improvement. Fury will be in better shape this time out and win more clearly. Will be another great fight!
I agree slightly. Team Wilder will try to find the flaw in Fury's game but Fury will also exploit Wilder's over obvious lack of boxing fundamentals. If Fury can stick to controlling his stamina and keeping his defense high he can win it. Fury has to stop dropping his arms and playing around showboating and Wilder seriously needs to discover what a body punch is and learn to also defend himself properly.
If Fury doesn't clown's around it will be a good fight Fury a chance . If Wilder can fint his right won't be missing to much . Wilder win for me tho , Fury's stint on drug's is da Question how many right hand's can Fury take .
I'll be there ( hint /hint ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the match up...Harder fight to pick this time. Fury's advantages last time that were labeled disdavantages for some bizarre reasons were...... 1. Activity. Fury was MORE active then Wilder going into the bout. He had fought twice while wilder didn't fight since March 2018 which is about 9 months. This would be an advantage for a better natural fighter. 2,. Weight .Fury outweighed Wilder 260 or so to wilder 210 or so.... people really didn't understand the weight advantage again was to fury ,bc he WAS in shape despite hearsay. 3. unpredictability. fury had the jump on wilder again here,no one knew what approach nor stance fury would fight with. No one knew if Roach would play a factor either in more aggression ( something Fury should have listened to ) . All three was a sure fury win to the smart bettor. the rematch isn't so easy now,i'll do my own breakdown come fight time. The pick now is still fury but not so clear this time. A few things fury could certainly do to ensure a win. 1. Stop being a clown in the ring ,you made yourself look foolish before the wilder fight, you cant fix stupid is my motto prove me wrong. 2. Throw continous jabs..Wilder Cannot react to them. You just cant stand there and let this guy gauge you as the fight goes 3. Work on throwing punches correctly with some torque ,stop slapping trying to win a slap contest win by K.O and get in southpaw stance ,you have power in that left hook on southpaw stance and you abandoned it. 4. Stay out of Barclays center...oooops!
I tend to think that if they could have improved Wilder, he would be a better boxer than he is now. Thus even if they find flaws in Fury... whose gonna capitalize on that knowledge? I just don't think Wilder at this point can learn any new tricks.
Went with Wilder the first fight. Now, it can only be Fury. Fury is just too good a boxer for Wilder. I believe Fury has the best chance of improving from the last fight, based on the fact that he can not have been at 100% going into the first. No doubt, there will be another 'special judge' however, so there is that.
This is probably the most annoying fight to predict ever, worse than the first one. Like stylistically it's so obvious, Fury's the better boxer by far but Wilder can end him at any point. So it just solely relies on the question if Wilder will manage to land his right. I guess I can see the sentiment on "Wilder has more improvements he can make" but the way I see it, Wilder is what he is at this point, I don't really see him fighting much differently.
With respect if Wilders team are looking at tapes and mistakes, they need to start with Deontay's lack of fundamentals rather than Tysons defensive/offensive cracks, Deontays been dancing on shifting sands a long time now, due mainly to the lack of depth in the heavyweight div
My feeling is that it's actually Fury who can improve more from the first fight. He can be sharper, quicker, fitter and just athletically improved in general. Wilder is as good as he'll ever get and you cannot count him out owing to his power, but the way I see it, Fury can box like that against someone of Wilder's ability every day of the week and twice on a Sunday.
Once Fury stands up from the K.D. then Wilder will not let Fury escape the K.O. like the last time. He will finish him as fast as possible.
he hasn’t got a team you melt. Nobody can train the untrainable. Fury was 50% last time and will give him a comprehensive boxing lesson next time. Sadly this won’t be enough to sway another corrupt US decision.
Fury is too good for Wilder, Wilder can't change his game this late in the day.. Fury UD or late stoppage. People continue to right him off, crazy! He's one of he most naturally gifted HW talents I've seen in years
I'm sure Breland came up with plans for the last fight. So why didn't / couldn't Wilder execute them? He's been very carefully matched through his career. Not many guys get to 40 fights and 8 defences with such a paucity of decent opposition on their record. Clearly his power gives him a shot whilst he's in the fight, but where is the boxing ability?
