So after trying unsuccessfully to get his dick wet, Kovalev ‘brutalised’ her dog, fled the scene and was subsequently found hiding in bushes outside her house the next morning. Pretty bizarre sequence of events.
Don't set me off on that, that was one of the most amazing comebacks in all of sports... & that edelman catch too! Gives me chills still that game...
It's not impossible. But he isn't up on his toes using the ring like he used to, looked pretty flat in the fight with Alvarez too... He has really underrated athleticism but he's getting older now so its going to fade. He needs to adapt or its game over & from what I hear he's a stubborn ****er! There's a reason Stevenson ducked Alvarez, he's one of those guys that's not great at any one thing but just good at all the fundamentals, strong guy, athletic, accurate puncher, durable..
Hate to say it but Kovalev has been spectacularly imploding in full view of the public since his first loss to Ward. Thats the difference between a champion and a talented waste of potential. Knowing and acting like a champion.
I expect Alvarez to win again. Kov doesn't seem to be right mentally. Ward took his soul, killed his "krusher" aura, and exposed his stamina/body vulnerability. I do hope to see another good performance from him but I think he's done.
I think Kovalev wins the rematch, I think he's faltering mentally though and Beterbiev, Gvzokzyk, and Bivol will be there to push him all the down the hill.
Seems like Ward and Alvarez managed to expose his physical limitations. Every great fighter has their strengths and flaws, Kovalev's is his conditioning. And now at 35, I doubt he will be able to fix it. And before anyone brings up the Ward nut shot disaster, it was clear that Kovalev slowed down after 4 rounds in both of their fights. Kovalev still is the best boxer at 175, but his body can't keep up.
This content is protected Alvarez worked the body really well. And after he got hurt, he took his time. Kovalev meanwhile was pushing the pace while slowing down. Alvarez survived the storm and scored a beautiful KO.
