I don't see that even though Uz looked flat in his last outing against Maderna. But from what I gather they have been sparring partners and Uz was giving Maderna a pay day. Either way, Uz has some dog in him and I think he is much more motivated in this fight against Plant. Plant is a cutie, likes to look slick. I think Uz takes him out in dramatic fashion. Yeah, it's possible Plant slips and slides for 12 but I don't think he can pull it off.
Benavidez, Gilberto, Uzcategui, Callum Smith, Jesse Hart, Shishkin, and Anthony Sims Jr. all paddle Plant's ass.
we will see how good plant really is. uzi should be motivated for this defense its a nice little fight. plant is a pure boxer uzi needs to make it rough and tough and he should be able to win a grind it out kinda decision. plant is super slippery n if he boxing ability is better then most of us think then he might be able to pick a part uzi. but uzi a tough guy i think he uzi is gonna will his way to victory. plant is like a chad dawsone to me. and this fight might be similiar to pascal vs dawson .
Looking forward to this one, the winner will be elevated a fair bit IMO. Can Uzcategui live up to the hype? I don't really like blokes getting shine when they don't have the results to back it up. Uzcategui has been severly inflated recently, I think he needs to prove himself tbh. I usually fancy the unfancied, and I see Plant as a bloke that can definitely out manouver Uzi. Picking Plant by UD
I give plant a good shot, I also think if it goes the distance the judges lean heavily towards him, because the promoters know if he wins a title how marketable he will be. Kinda like Kelly pavlic.
I think Plant wins. People made the same mistake of overanalyzing Fury's weaker performances whenever he'd fight a better fighter, not taking in to account that some guys fight down to the level of who they're in against. Those performances aren't necessarily indicative of a fighter's ceiling. We haven't seen his ceiling yet, but we will soon because Uzcat will bring it out of him. I'm not 100% sold on Plant's chin as his chin is still a question mark to me, but I do believe he'll pull it off. . I also think Uzcat is getting a little too much credit H2H off of beating a shot Dirrell. He's good- don't get me wrong- but he's not a Callum Smith, Groves, Ramirez, or Benavidez.
I think it would definitely elevate Plant but not Uz. We already know he can fight. Not so sure about Plant. The only way this helps Uz is if he KOs Plant.
Nice prediction tbf. Had originally gone for Plant in the league but switched to uzcat after seeing most others pick him. Big mistake from me
The thing about Plant is once he easily schooled Medina, I knew he was the goods. No, Medina isn't Uzcategui, but I know Plant has been putting work in the Mayweather gym for years, sparring top notch opponents. The question was could he perform under the lights. He didn't even perform at his best against Uzcategui, he just needs more experience.
I thought Plant could outbox Uzcat but thought uzcats style may get to Plant as well as following the crowd, i was wrong honestly.
Props to you admitting you were wrong, I wonder if people on this thread who picked Uzcategui are going to eat their crow. Probably not.
