    Mac Foster
    1970 Muhammad Ali

Beats all except Frazier, who he losses to by UD

I might see Ali, Norton or Lyle pulling off an upset

Edit: upon revision, I think it's 50/50 with Ali

I can't say that I'd call an Ali win an upset.

I pick Patterson, Frazier & Ali to beat him.

    Norton I would call 50-50
Ellis I would call a live dog

Daniels, Spencer, Foster, Lyle and Shavers I give a very slim shot to and would be surprised if Charles didn’t beat all of them.

I'd put Charles as the favorite at least lol. Charles would have the better workrate and handspeed, and could put combinations together better than past prime Ali

Patterson is a bold pick, i personally dont even see young Patterson beating Charles

Perhaps you're thinking stylistically? Or do you think Patterson would overwhelm him with speed?

Good catch and based on this dialogue I will change that pick...TBF I was thinking a prime Floyd and yes I know we will disagree on that, and that is cool... but yes reflecting on it the Patterson that fought Quarry likely would not win even though I don’t think he would get overwhelmed either....I would shift him to my live dog category. Appreciate you challenging my thought process! I don’t always change my mind, but this time I agree lol

Beats Patterson. Been watching alot of him lately and Charles beats him for sure.

    Beats Ellis, Spencer, Foster, Daniels.

'70 Ali whips him handily. Not as "past prime" as people like to spew...

Charles probably will engage Lyle at some point and get knocked around a bit. Maybe Lyle tires and loses a decision. Tough call.

He beats Shavers unless he gets creamed early (obviously)

Norton is a close call too. Busier and better, but Norton is bigger and got some pop.

1967 Floyd Patterson Charles wins a split decision in a very high intensity bout. Both men would be badly hurt and on the floor several times but will have given their all. I think prime patterson would win for the record.

Billy Daniels charles by 5th round ko

Thad Spencer charles by 8th round ko

Jimmy Ellis charles by 10th round KO.

1969 Joe Frazier Frazier by ko in 9. No man under 200 lbs is beating a peak Frazier.

    Mac Foster charles by UD

1970 Muhammad Ali Charles gets off the floor to win a narrow decision over a rusty Ali.

1973 Ron Lyle charles by wide UD, lyle would hardly land anything and would get embarrased.

1973 Earnie Shavers shavers scores an early kd but runs out of steam chasing Charles and either gets stopped late or drops a decision.

1975 Ken Norton this would be one hell of a chess match. Norton was on fire this year bouncing back from his back to back losses to score 4 ko wins in a row and win the nabf title. I think he continues the pattern and stops charles in 13 rounds. If anyone was built for neutralizing cagey sharp technicians like Charles, it was Norton. It might resemble the jimmy young fight.
