The fight would struggle to be made wilder has 2 fights that generate interest, fury and aj. Whyte wilder would sell but not right now, would it make Whyte more money? It depends on a few things, the outcome of the fury wilder rematch and if it was as a mandatory for the wbc.
Whyte is in a difficult possition like everyone else in the division (apart from fury). I don’t think he would of turned down 5 million as such, more likely turned down a flat fee, and rightfully so, he’s not avoiding aj or anyone he’s just standing up for himself and realising his own worth.
It’s a shock that Eddie would offer a flat fee to his own fighter, especially someone like Whyte who’s honesty is an absolute nightmare for some one like Hearn, if Whyte has something to say he says it

Big fan of both (obviously as I am British)

But I am a fan of boxing first and have to repeat my concerns over fighters passing up the chance of gaining belts because they want more money. Whyte should take the 5 million if he truly believes in himself.

"To be The Man you have to beat The Man" this is Whyte's second chance to prove himself against the best in the division and he is potentially throwing it away by being greedy.

Don’t agree with that at all look at it the other way.
Miller will accept any cut because he has no right to be challenging for a belt, end of.
Whyte has earned and been robbed of mandatory positions on more than one occasion, he has earned his position and ranking.
So why should a fighter who has earned his position/ranking who is about to become a mandatory to more than one of the belts, why would he take a flat fee?
Mandatory to both the current heavy weight champions btw.
He would fight Joshua in a car park tonight (he loses 100 percent) but it’s nothing to do with fear it’s self respect, and I cannot fault the lad for it.
Would fury or wilder accept a flat fee? Would usyk accept a flat fee?
Would any fighter who earned the right to challenge for a title take a flat fee? No they wouldn’t.
And Hearn knows this he’s been offered a flat fee because Hearn knows he won’t take it, because Whyte is much more dangerous to aj than miller is.
Whyte is a massive risk to anyone and there’s no reward, aj knows he will have to fight Whyte in 2019 because he will be mandatory.
Hearn is thinking fight miller in us( easy work) then Whyte will be mandatory then fight the winner of fury wilder rematch.

Whyte is NOT AJ's mandatory, he is basically in the same position as Miller.

Whyte has been stiffed by the WBC in my opinion, he has been their number 1 for about 3 decades now and still isn't mandatory but that's Wilders side of things, nothing to do with AJ and to be honest it's been Hearn who has fought for him to get that WBC title shot.

I'll tell you why Whyte should accept a flat fee, because it's a career high payday and even as mandatory he will get a flat fee, he won't get PPV money as mandatory challenger.

Hearn will make a purse bid and Whyte will get his percentage, Hearn then has control of where he puts it on, what platform, Whyte is not entitled to any of that.

Fury has already asked Hearn for a flat fee offer, so yes, Fury would entertain one. If Wilder was offered a 20 million he would accept one, so would Usyk, all depends what you're offering, it's not just about a flat fee.

Apparently Whyte has said he would accept a flat fee, he would accept 7 million, so it isn't the idea of a flat fee offer that's the problem, it's the money.

Whyte right now hasn't earned the right, he is just most deserving out of the other challengers, he has earned that right when he is made mandatory for one of AJ's belts.

I think people have gone way over the top here, Whyte is being offered a career high payday as a voluntary challenger and he has the chance to win 3 of the 4 major titles, it will be in his own country and it should be a very simple and easy fight to make.

    Yeah I know.

Whyte was "about to become mandatory" for the WBC belt, errr how did that work out for him?

There is a possibility that one of those governing bodies ask Whyte to fight Usyk or somebody else in a final eliminator or they might even allow AJ an extension.

Whyte might not get a shot for over a year and even then it will probably be for less money than he is being offered right now.

Whyte is playing a very dangerous game and a very stupid one, he has messed Hearn around, the man who has built him from the AJ defeat, has him headlining PPV's and made him millions.

Whyte is coming across as a greedy, ungrateful idiot and it's a shame because he could end up ruining the best years of his career because he wants to be a Moby.

I think it's a very generous offer, Nobody wants to see Whyte fight AJ again, I think it will be a poor event if it does get made. And Hearn knows this. Whyte just simply is a draw

I sort of agree, its a fight that's not many want to see, regardless of how deserving Whyte is, twitter isn't alight with fans rubbing their hands at the thought.

What has been funny and also rather disgraceful was/is the Wilder Fanboys and even then Fury Fanboys slaughtering the mention of this fight a few months back..

Whyte makes things difficult for everybody (including himself) and the AJ and Hearn haters comes steaming out saying Whyte is being "lowballed" and banging on about how Whyte has "exposed Hearn".

A couple of days ago when it was being reported this fight was about to be announced Whyte went back to being an "undeserving bum" but know it looks like Whyte hasn't agreed a deal its back to "pay Whyte more money".

The contradictions, double standards and short memories on here are amazing.

Will become mandatory should i say provided Usyk doesn't exercise his right, which he won't. I don't mind being quoted on this and if iam wrong iam wrong, ive been wrong before no doubt ill be wrong again. Basically if fury fights wilder as expected and Joshua fights Miller as expected and whyte plays Pokemon go for the next 6 months whyte will become mandatory to Joshua. So (imo) he is about to become mandatory.

see what your saying wbc have had his eyes out,
Yes fury asked for a flat fee an astronomical fee he was never going to get.
ok thats a fair point he isn't a mandatory, but that's down to corruption nothing to do with not earning the right. He's more than earned the right.
If whyte said he would accept a flat fee of 7 then my argument is dead no doubt about that, but I can't find that anywhere? Can you tell me where I can find it?
Iam not saying whyte deserves more money or thinks he deserves more money he's fighting his corner, he's getting bent over at every opportunity. Is he right to do it? I think so.
You may be right he may miss a career high payday, or he may be the man he thinks he is and become world champion, but by the looks of it hes doing it his way and deserves respect, unfortunately Joshua smashes him to bits same asize everyone else

Would they honestly generate a 30mil purse?
And don't give me the X amount of PPV's equals 30mil. No idea what the network cut is, but there definitely is one.

That's one article, they say in there Whyte is "pricing himself out" and Whytes 7 million "demand" is quoted is there and it has been in other places too.

I have seen on social media that the offer to Whyte is actually 5.25 million and Whyte won't accept it. It's bizarre to be honest, Whyte says he wants a title shot, he is being offered multi millions and he suddenly wants to play hardball.

Whyte isn't bothered about a flat fee, he will accept a flat fee but the fee that he wants is ridiculous for a voluntary challenger.

As for the corruption, Hearn tried his best to get Whyte a shot at Wilder, Wilder was offered millions and declined the offer, Whyte slaughtered Wilder for not accepting a career high payday and now Whyte is doing exactly the same thing but it's worse as he is just a voluntary challenger so by his own standards he deserves a little bit of stick.

I do understand where you are coming from, I like Whyte, I rate him and believe he is the most deserving Heavyweight challenger at this most in time.

It's a real shame he never got his shot at Wilder, I think it would have been a very good fight and I believe that was disgraceful that the WBC made Breazeale mandatory.

But the bottom line is boxing is a business, Whyte isn't even signed with Hearn, they work on a deal by deal basis, he isn't mandatory yet and Whyte has got himself in to a position where he is a little stuck because he has ran off shouting and screaming about Hearn, slaughtered everybody who has helped him and backed him and now he either has to accept the deal or he might be frozen out for a while.

Nobody is going to bust a gut for him now, not after this reaction to an offer of a career high payday and world title shot..

Whyte may well end up waiting over a year or maybe more.. let's say AJ fights Miller next and then somehow strikes a deal with the winner of Fury Vs Wilder for the end of the year..

AJ will get an extension for a unification and there will be a rematch regardless of any outcome of that so that could be say May 2020.. then Whyte might get a shot at some time late 2020.

What's he going to be doing on the meantime? Who is going to be promoting him after his latest outbursts? Who will he be fighting? Usyk? Ortiz? Parker II?

He loses against any of them and he gets shuffled back, Whyte isn't in a good position in my opinion if he rejects this offer or Hearn gets pissed and withdraws it.

You are missing one major factor

    AJ is the champ.

He is THE MAN in the division, he has the best resume and he has most of the belts.

Any challenger, be it Whyte, fury, wilder etc should be fighting or the belts, for the glory. Surely these guys didn't get into boxing chasing money they got into it with dreams of becoming the best, becoming legends and chasing glory.

Now they are all in a position to become great and instead they choose to be greedy...it can only be one reason, lack of confidence. They know there is a good chance they will lose and they want to cash out. It's ok I get it, but let's not pretend it's because they think they are "worth more". Why should they be worth 50% they are the challenger.

Eddie is right, if you think you are the best prove it, take 40%, take the belts and the you become THE MAN, you become the shot caller in the division and you become the one who can demand and earn the most money...it's all there for these guys to be great, they are just too **** scared to grab it.

Set of pussys mate, there's loads of hungry heavys out there that would fight him for very little , these lot have become deluded and lost sense of why they started boxing, it's all gone to their heads and money has become the main motivator not the legacy, it's pretty sickening tbh.

On a side note I think miller is the most dangerous fight, hes already beat Whyte, fury can't hurt him and wilder is garbage. Miller is a big strong guy capable of backing up joshua, he comes forward pressurises and let's his hands go. Not easy work imo.
