Parker versus Usyk would be a terrible move for Team Parker imho. Parker really needs to start looking like a threat, like he did around 2005 - fighting Usyk would not do that at all.

It would if he beat Usyk. Would be a pretty huge scalp and I'd be impressed with the fight being made on both fighters' parts.

Fortunately I am a huge fan of Usyk, and agreed - it would REALLY bump up Parker's profile something fierce, but that is because it'd be a huge upset... for good reason. I would rate Joe with a significantly lower chance in this fight than any other fight he's had.

parker needs to fight like theyre trying to take food from his kids mouths, not like its a golden glove tourney.

Parker did great to win a belt. Seeing the other top heavies continue to improve while he has stagnanted, I think his skills are now far too primitive to compete with the elite heavyweights. He should give it one more run and then hang them up with money and mind in tact.

I would love to see Parker expose Ortiz but Ortiz is more interested in fighting bums like Hammer, Kauffman and Cojanu.

Parker vs Rivas would be fun to watch.

    2005?

That would have made JP aged 12. I presume you meant 2015?

I agree that fighting Usyk right now would be too risky for both parties. This is a year 2020 fight.
