Chag was a high pedigree fighter but no doubt if Shavers lands flush he wins.

 

interesting matchup here. I think Shaver woulda KO'd the guy.

 

Prime Shavers KO's Chagaev so hard that the "fight" could legitimately be considered a professional and successful gender reassignment surgery/operation. And Shavers work would favorably compare to the best surgeons in the world. Actually in all probability it would go down as being the fastest operation of its kind in history and probably never be broken or come close to.

Could go either way. Depends on which Shaver's shows up.

 

Absolutely no chance.

 

Why not Chagaev taller, heavier, good amateur pedigree. Only stopped twice once in his final fight. Has some quality wins. Shavers for all his power ended up coming up short quite often against top competition.
I think it’s a good match and wouldn’t be overly confident picking either guy.

Coming up short was a function of his competition. I'm not sure Chagaev fares any better against Ali, Lyle, Holmes and Quarry.

Yeah but Shavers also lost to guys a lot less than that including Randall Cobb. I’d have to check his record but he wasn’t unbeatable and he was prone to many off nights. Yeah his resume has better competition on it and Chagaev also lost to the two best men he faced in Wlad and Povetkin but he did beat the 7 foot giant who was undefeated Valuev and Ruiz and oquendo cleanly who was always a spoiler.
I could see Shavers winning i’m Just not certain of it like so many are. Chagaev when healthy was a really good fighter
