Given that he’s lost to Parker and Pulev, two decent heavyweights how do we rate the guy?
Kinda think we’d no more about him if he fought someone like Chisora or something, know he got a bad cut against Pulev but folk were saying he looked less than amateurish in that fight as if he’d never learnt the basics.

Break out the incredibly negative style he could be a top 20 heavyweight that no one would ever want to watch. If he comes in fighting like he did against Pulev he's below that. The trade off of punching more and being more hittable does not seem to benefit him.

I'd say he's a top 15 heavyweight, give or take a little. There's really not much else to see with him, we've seen his limitations exposed multiple times.

Top 20 heavyweight, but not top 10. He can box a bit but he's too negative and lacks the power to be a real force in the division.

I thought he was better than he was, expected him to beat Parker and Pulev but it's clear he isn't at that level.

    Overrated.

Not a bad boxer but terribly negative and he is limited.

The main problem with Hughie is that he just doesn't have that meanness to beat the top fighters in the divsion. He doesn't have that ''dog'' in him like his cousin Tyson, he is simply too much of a nice guy and all of this was evident in the Pulev fight.

He's young for a hw. Has maybe paid the price for moving forward very quickly. He went the distance with Parker and although I don't think he won as they claimed arguably a more aggressive approach may have seen him get that decision. Question marks over his power, but he did put Sexton away with a cracking shot. Surely deserves some credit for taking the Pulev eliminator in Bulgaria that both Miller and Whyte declined. In Bulgaria though he looked very short on ideas. Pulev looked a class above him although the cut probably finished his chances off in any case. I wouldn't write him off yet, but he needs some careful matchmaking and a slower more considered route to the bigger fights.

Good skills, no power, one paced, no charisma outside of the ring.

He has also been manged badly. He fought next to no one then was thrown in against Parker. He performed admirably, even astonishingly when you consider the gulf in class between Parker and his previous opponents. He then fights a domestic level fighter in Sam Sexton, and then gets thrown in deep against Pulev.

I think he needs to be taken a step back in regards to his opponents. He's young so no need to rush him. Get him some proper opponents that will test him, but that will not be a step to far. If he wins and improves, then give him the top contenders.

I think he's worse than peak Malik Scott and Kevin Johnson.

    I think he's better than...I'm drawing a blank...late 80s James Tillis.

He has a future as a sparring partner.

I think Hughie cops a bit of flack for his performance against Pulev. At 23, in Bulgaria, with a nasty cut above his eye, he did ok, most guys would have simply pulled out of the fight. Hes never going to an entertaining big banger, but hes still 7/8 years from his prime. Give him time. Hell mature into a top 10 fighter.

Even though he's quite tall, his build isn't really heavyweight material. He either needs to bulk up some muscle or drain down to cruiser. He will come up short against all decent heavyweights. Right now I'd hardly place him in the top 20. He can outpoint guys like Szpilka or Hammer, but that's it.

Handsome Hughie Lewis Fury, son of Big Peter Fury. Write him off at your peril. This youngster has already proven he is an elite heavyweight at his tender age having arguably beaten Joseph Parker and lasting the distance against Pulev despite suffering a horrific cut early on.

He is learning and his power is real. This guy will become Heavyweight champ, absolutely no doubt about it.

I would like to see him fight David Price this year in his return. A confidence boosting brutal knockout with good exposure to the casual market. I expect great things this year he is in the right hands.
