Hard to knock someone for taking on decent opponent's but after Parked he should of rebuilt and learn a style that works.clearly he's one who is confused about boxing, thought he was slick and forgot about hurting his opponents imo.
Even that is too soon imo,a loss against Price really would be the end, needs to rebuild against lesser guys so he can work things out, getting cut being one of them imo.
Did you see his fight with Sexton? I appreciate he was facing a much more limited opponent but he did look to be putting more on his punches. This content is protected
Hughie is a very decent defensive boxer with excellent footwork and movement. He should stick to what he's good at and not feel pressure to change his style. His weaknesses have been identified but he has other qualities to overcome that. He is a nightmare fight for anyone and it's no wonder he is struggling to get fights at British level, he beats both Dubois and Joyce.
Yes I did and I thought he turned a corner, could be exactly as his coach said 're getting cut in sparring, that would explain the stark contrast 're of opposition.
If I watch Hughie fight a top 10 fighter now, I'm not thinking about Hughie winning at all. I'm wondering whether the other guy can knock Hughie out. Can't really sit down on someone who's running.
He can't be any good I'm afraid, how he got old manned by shot pulev was disgusting, I gave up on him at that moment.
His looping right hand is a joke, needs to learn the straight right hand or give up, has a decent Jab.
That bad? Scott beat Tony Thompson and Glazkov. Kevin Johnson went 12 with Vitali and beat Lepai, Sosnowski, and Devin Vargas. Hughie hasn’t proven himself to be on that level.
He’s a top 20-30 fighter who gets too much press. If his last name want Fury few would care about him
A typical, fit cruiserweight can weigh as far as 225 lbs (if not more) on fight night. This dude's fight weight is around 230 lbs and he's not even fit. He can easily lose 5-10 pounds of body fat and then drain down for the weigh-in. That's what every other cruiserweight does. I'm sure he could make the weight for cruisers if he tried. Fury vs Bellew at 210 would be a proper fight too.
