Was the first Alvarez win over Kovalev a fluke?

Will Alvarez do better or worse in the rematch? He was down on all cards in the first encounter before the stoppage. If he truly has the blueprint, then he should stop kovalev before the 5th. I think the longer it goes the beter it will be for Kovalev.

Alvarez doing better than the first fight up until stoppage, before the similar fate. They both know what is in store for them.

Wait, haha, what is this nonsense about he should stop him before the 5th round if he has the blueprint? I guess you were truly stunned by the first result. Talk to Jesus before the rematch, my man.

It wasn't fluke, Kovalev didn't bother to train so he had stamina for 5 rounds. Obviously he lost.

You don't just knock out a worldwide famous champ who's been boxing for over 20 years by a fluke. It doesn't work like that.

No fluke, Alvarez is a top fighter hits hard and sharp! Also seems pretty durable

Kovalev is 35 and that is old especially considering his lifestyle. He is past prime and Alvarez will prob win again.

Look to me it was a fluke. All I know is Alvarez was cut Kovalev was ahead. He gassed out. In my opinion Alvarez didn't ko him because Kovalev has a bad chin because he doesn't . That was the highlight of the fight. I mean come on. Kovalev ahead in the score cards Alvarez was bleeding and Kovalev slowed down because his gas tank depleted he even had his hands down. Then Alvarez seized that moment . That's why I think it was a fluke. Today's fight will confirm to me if it was a fluke or not .simple as that. That's my opinion agree with it or not that's your choice

It's the other way round, the longer it goes the better it is for Alvarez. Kov was clearly slowing the longer that match lasted and his already bad defence was weakening leaving him open to the type of punch that sent him down. If Kov doesn't knock him out in the first 4/5 rounds i think it'll be a repeat. Alvarez can out box this version of Kov so even if he was to go super defensive to preserve his stamina i see Alvarez winning on points, the reason Kov was winning going into the 7th was because he was trying so hard to knock him out and failed despite hurting Alvarez somewhat. Actually i'm not even sure if he was hurt, he was cut but he never really seemed like he was close to going down and he was willing to trade blows with Kov for the whole fight. Kov also had bruises on his face going into the 7th so it's not like it was entirely one sided. Just don't think Kov is as dangerous as he once was and Alvarez knew that.

    I think completely the oposite.

The longer it takes, the better for Álvarez. I have already said in another thread that I think that kovalev is a 5 rounder. If Álvarez makes it up to round 7, kovalev is as good as knocked the F out, he will kiss the canvas again.
