It shouldn’t be PPV but I wonder if there’s going to be something leading up to it? Callum Smith perhaps? Miller is a talker and he might just bring out the gangster in AJ, could be a big build up.
The top two, three of the top five, four of the top ten and six of the top twenty all-time UK PPV fights are AJ fights. Asking why they put AJ on PPV is like asking why they put Man Utd Liverpool on TV rather than Huddersfield Brighton.
Joshua is 30 this year. He's earning a fortune. I don't think he wants anything to do with the big boys.
So the chinny robot “could have faced” Fury Wilder Ortiz Whyteleafe Fat pudding miller I haven’t been this surprised since Kell Brook “could have faced” Pacquiao Thurman Rios Garcia Jojo dan
Good point. People talk about Luis Ortizs age but conveniently ignore the fact big iosh isn’t getting any younger either is he
Whether it's Miller or Ortiz then the result will be the same - AJ to win inside 6 rounds. Miller seems the better option for AJ's debut because he is unbeaten and a mouthy American so will promote the fight better. The unusual thing about this fight will be how AJ reacts from not having the majority of support because Miller is actually from New York where they will probably fight. I think it's more interesting than an Ortiz fight.
Possibly for the same reason why Warren didn't release the Fury Wilder numbers or the Frampton Warrington figures. The only rational conclusion when such a thing happens is that the results are completely pathetic.
I think AJ will also stop Miller. I think it will be similar to the Groves v Chudinov stoppage. Miller is a punchbag. I wouldn’t put him in the same bracket as Ortiz who, even though he’s about 70, is actually a really quality boxer and a southpaw. Takam and Parker both showed that getting ironed out by Joshua isn’t a forgone conclusion should you get in the ring with him.
