DRIVE DETERMINATION UNWAVERING SELF CONFIDENCE BALLS UNBELIEVABLE WORK ETHIC UNDETERRED FOCUS INTELLIGENCE, just for starters. Then comes the actual technical mastery, refinement of skills, natural talent and athleticism that is also needed.

    Ever considered commercial painting?

You need a well connected manager to have any chance at making good money in boxing or for that matter any sport. You also need to have investors behind you, since making things happen in boxing cost money.

Even Muhammad Ali despite all of his talent and amateur accomplishments would’ve never got a title shot or made much money as a pro boxer without the Louisville Sponsoring Group, which was a powerful syndicate that made a successful boxing career a possibility for Ali. Joe Frazier also has a power syndicate behind him that aided him in his boxing career.

“Before his meteoric rise to the heavyweight title and his controversial forays into politics, Ali’s early boxing career was guided by a syndicate of 11 prominent Louisville businessmen known as The Louisville Sponsoring Group. Arranged by black attorney Alberta Jones, the group included attorneys and executives from companies such as Brown-Foreman Distillers Corp., Brown-Williamson Tobacco, and the Courier-Journal and Louisville Times.1 From 1960 to 1966, the Louisville Sponsoring Group arranged Ali’s fights, hired trainer Angelo Dundee, provided legal services, managed his finances, and paid his expenses. In exchange, the group retained half of Ali’s earnings.”

Solid boxing in the ring, and great promoting outside the ring.

This is assuming that you’re not fighting superstars along the way, as just dethroning a boxing superstar can do it for you, as they bring the eyes and promotion, and you essentially steal it.

Some become controversial, so the fans love to hate them, and will pay in the hope of seeing them lose. Mayweather ticks that box, as well as the others.

So, after all that, you clearly need a solid promotional machine behind you in some way, shape, or form.

Floyd's success was due to him being protected & given every advantage,, legal & illegal, asit was to hgis incredible boxing talets. He was NEVER allowed to lose in Vegas. Now we have Canelo being treated the same way, He is not allowed to lose, These are " famous boxers" NOT ATG champions
To ne an ATG is a fighter that came up the hard way . Fought for everything he has without the Need for juicing cheating & corruption backing him These are th ones that earn my respect
