    Kovalev has been on the decline since about 2014 (something I have been saying since then) but even this version of him is more than capable of beating Alvarez who is a talented fighter in his own right if he boxes to the best of his ability. But he's been through an awful lot both physically and mentally, especially the later. He's very strong mentally but you'd have to be a machine not to have been deeply affected by everything he's been through and for it not to impact your career and it's a big ask for him to pull this off at this stage of his career.
