    Álvarez is using the full ring, keeping his back against the ropes, going right, dropping in a 1-2 on the body. Kovalev turns and faces up to him, using lots of feints. A reaching jab up top by Kovalev, but doesn't step through and over-commit himself. Lots of posturing from both, attempts to make each other flinch, each remaining in their established roles: Álvarez orbiting the perimeter and Kovalev just rotating on his axis while fixed in place. Neither has thrown a serious punch in anger. Scratch that, left hook downstairs by Álvarez.
