This is Yardes best chance for a belt he'll get at any time

Ward took Kovalevs soul, the man is a shell of his former self

he isn't as good as he was but he did beat a solid fighter in alvarez it wasn't the Krusher way, but he did what was needed. Yard might not have the ring IQ to stand in the right spots

I was just about to say . Kovalev needs to becareful on yarde although I still need to see if yarde is a threat indeed. So far he's faced nothing but bums and shows off his muscles with extra Vaseline

Yarde is very susceptible to a straight right over the guard, kov will take his head off within 4 rounds.

Kov is also the vastly superior boxer.

Yarde literally hasn't fought anyone with a pulse yet, amateur or pro, and all these Latvian, Slovakian, Estonian, Hungarian, and American Level scrubs and journeymen with their hideously low KO percentages they've been feeding to him couldn't wobble an old lady with their Sunday punch if they landed it right on her sweet spot.

We literally have no idea if he can take any kind of punch even from an average puncher, let alone from one with the kind of savage power Kovalev wields in his fists. The only reason Alvarez was able to survive against him was because he has a very tight guard, a good chin and didn't get hit with huge shots too often. I wager that Kovalev 1. won't have a problem hitting Yarde and 2. Yarde won't be able to take them when he does land with them.

How can a man that just schooled the guy that knocked him out his last fight be "a shell of his former self?"

So many good matchups for Kova in the division and someone comes up with Yarde for crying out loud!

Yarde is stepping up big against a former Gvozdyk victim first. Let's see if he can get past Amar before we start mentioning the level of Kovalev.

With that win over Alvarez or not. Right now at this time Kovalev is on the other side of the fence he's aging . Yarde can get a lucky shot just as Alvarez did the first time . The krusher we once knew no longer exist sadly. .....dam you ward !!!

Well yes, if this version of Kovalev KOs him then he is never going to be a world champion anyway.

Why would Kovalev wanna fight Yarde? what's in it for him? He said in the post fight interview that he wants to Unify. Beating Yarde does absolutely nothing for Kovalev

You're to caught in the hype my friend. Everyone on this forum got hyped up in Alvarez knocking out Kovalev the first time so it makes this win look even better as if Kovalev has rejuvenated no man just no . Alvarez got Kovalev at the right time. He was getting his ass kicked before he got lucky and Kovalev tired out. He got out pointed the first and second fight . Everyone talks about how good Alvarez skills are when in reality he was getting out pointed both fights and got the knockout on a tired gassed out Kovalev. Alvarez was never really that good. So Kovalev beating Alvarez dosent change back the clock to Kovalevs former self. Watch Alvarez step up against Gvozdyk and Bivol he'll get his ass strecthed . Same as buster Douglas did when he beat Mike Tyson then got knocked out by holyfield and never competed at the top again. This Kovalev is a shot Kovalev . It's not that Kovalev is that good. No it's that Alvarez was that bad he lost to an over the hill shot mentally damaged souless Kovalev . That's my opinion

I'm not saying Yarde wins, I'm literally just saying that this is the best opportunity he will have. It's a strong division.
