I seriously don't understand it, its Boxing 101 that u keep ur mouth shut to avoid getting ur jaw broken. Oscar Valdez continues to do this even after suffering a broken jaw against Scott Quigg.
I don't know Russell jr got a draw on one judge score card against loma only reason i can think of is american judges must be impressed by grunting. Id like a boxer who shouted out obscenities everytime he threw a punch , he could say he has tourettes
Lol just another of Broners an annoying traits, just like him shaking his head and hurt the grunting thing is such an easy tell for his opponents to read.Pretty much sums Broners career up,shoulder roll that he can't use properly, grunting after every punch(10 per round).
His most annoying trait (apart from leaving his house lol) is the way he hides his breathing when he goes to the corner it winds me right up, clearly out of breath, breathing through his teeth he even tenses his chest so you can't see it moving. I don't know why he does it, maybe he feels guilty stealing our air lol.
Always been taught to blow air out while striking, yelling while punching is frequently taught in martial arts. Doesn't bother me.
Lamont Peterson did this annoying shout when he punched earlier in his career. It was like a high pitched "BAH" with every damn punch. Almost made it unwatchable for me.
Lamont Peterson already got a mention but iirc his brother Anthony was even more obnoxious. I can't say for sure since we were lucky enough to see the last of him when he melted down against Brandon Rios. 'Bap...bap bap bap!' Glen Johnson was a part-time barker. Sometime he wouldn't, but I remember against Tavoris Cloud he was barking so much the commentators were talking about it and I was cracking up at home Holly Holm in mma is bad about it as well. Less of a grunt and more of a weird 'ish! ish! ish!' thing. I don't get it.
