By his own standards... He should take 40 percent against AJ...

    Explain this behaviour...

He doesn't want the fight at the moment in my opinion. Right now 40-60 is reasonable for Wilder-Fury (because Fury has no belts and he is a contender) and also for Wilder-Joshua (in Joshua's favour). Barry Hearn says the winner of Wilder-Fury 2 will most probably get 50-50 split with Joshua. That's sounds great and there's a real chance then that the mega-fight will happen. If Fury wins in his rematch with Wilder though he has to rematch WIlder again ... :/

It's called moving the goalposts. I have to ask why aren't Fury fans all up in arms about 60/40 and calling it a lowball. When AJ offers 60/40 it's a problem.

Because it matters more to Joshua than it does Wilder.

Fury was/is the ring Magazine's champion same goes with lineal champion.

That should give him atleast 50/50 against some paper champion beltholder like Manuel Charr...

I’m a fury fan and I agree. It’s down to frank warren, I know fury would have no problem with the money. He asked Eddie for a figure because he said he doesn’t mind what AJ gets as long as he gets what he feels he should.

Yeah that's been pretty clear, Fury has said he doesn't care if Joshua is paid more, he didn't even ask for a split at first, he'd accept 60/40 right now but Warren is the one demanding 50/50.

This. If he is ready to take 60/40 vs Wilder I dont see why he wouldn't at worst take the same vs AJ. Warren just wants to play the big man and not give settle for less than 50% as its Eddie Hearn.

Happy to take 60/40 with his friends but not with Eddie Hearn , strange bitter man.

Fury asked for 60% on his Twitter account , he said Hearn knows the numbers to make it happen .....

It starts with a 6 and ends in a 0.Those were his own words ..these are the kind of outlandish games they both played with Joshua .

No one can seriously tell me they wanted to fight Joshua in 2018.

Well, to begin with, you're starting with false information.

The WBC said it's 60-40 if it goes to purse bids.

Warren and Fury don't want it to go to purse bids, because they've already negotiated a higher cut.

Wilder and Fury agreed to fight twice before their first meeting. Warren asked the WBC to institute an immediate rematch so the WBC wouldn't screw up their plans to rematch ... by, for example, forcing Wilder to fight someone like Breazeale next.

The WBC did call for an immediate rematch, then instituted an arbitrary deadline and said if it wasn't met Fury would get 40 percent.

But Wilder and Fury's team had already agreed to a fairer split.

So the teams have asked the WBC for an extra week to finalize their agreements, because even though the two boxers and their teams have it worked out ... the WBC is clumsily mucking things up by imposing lower shares for Fury and deadlines that aren't necessary.

And the WBC gave them the extra time.

Just an example of how, even when the boxers and their teams are working nicely together, the orgs can drunkenly stumble in and knock the tables over.

At this point, Wilder and Fury's team are helping their drunk WBC uncle over to a chair and telling him to sit down and compose himself while they finish working out the details.

maybe because fury was out for so long and didnt work his way back up to fight for a title so soon and everyone had written him off
