Thoughts on this matchup? Would favor a younger, fresher DeGale, to outbox crude Eubank with superior skills, more fluid footwork, and ability to fight out of either stance. But DeGale, although only 33, seems to have a lot of mileage on him, and not sure how much he has left. Can Eubank pressure him with in-fighting? Does he have the punch output to get DeGale out of his comfort zone?
Either Degale has one last performance in him where he puts a clinic on Eubank or young Jnr pounds away to a unanimous decision over a shot Degale.
i got degale beating eubank eubank just is not that guy. thats how bad eubank is a shot degale beats him
I don't rate Eubank but Degale is seriously shot to sh*t. Eubank probably by late stoppage. However, he will get schooled again when he fights anyone with skills who is anywhere near their prime.
DegGale SHOULD win this one. He's had some tough outtings, definitely takes their toll. But CEjr is quite enigmatic. Hard to tell which version shows up: the one with the potential or the under achiever...
I think a on the slide Degale beats the Eubank who faced Groves, and clearly had his boxing ability exposed. May be the Groves fight was the wake up call Eubank needed, and perhaps he and his trainer went back to the drawing board and mended his failings, there again may be not, we will have to wait and see.
We saw in the 2 fights against Truax (who is a journeyman) that De Gale is shot to peices. He is a shadow of his former self. For this reason and this reason only, I side with Eubank Jr either via a fairly close UD or a TKO late. Eubank Jr is better than Truax.
