Eddie reveals a general figure so you get an idea on how it's done. Plus BARB tracks sky box office.

If Frank's two ppv's did good numbers you better believe he would be letting the world know how it was a great success.

His silence is clear to see. Both PPV's on BT box office flopped hard.

I would prefer to see Warrington go to America but somebody has to shut Galahad up and it seems he's the man for the job. If he can get through this there are huge fights on the horizon.

He wins this then you'd think he'll go for the unifications with the mexicans

    Really looking forward to this
Should be a good contest and one that's non stop and full of energy

Warrington to put a beating on him though

Absolutely he should and hopefully Frank lets Warrington of the leash. He should be coming into his prime at 28 and fights with Valdez, LSC and GRJ are all mouth watering propositions.

Definitely Elland Road and/or PPV with those numbers. 20k attendance averaging £70 a ticket is £1.4mil plus tv and advertising. Seems about right.

How the **** has Galahad managed to get a purse like that...I have always thought he was best in UK at his weight but the last year has shown that Warrington just keeps improving and i think he will win...perhaps even stoppage

This is such a hard one to sell on PPV. Problem is Frank doesn't have big undercard stars like Matchroom do. They're just not built up the same way. Putting Yarde and Dubois on there and calling it a day just won't cut it. I think Frampton is required. If he chooses to come back, he needs to be on that card to give it a little boost.

Yeah - Sky Box Office are tracked by BARB anyway so their numbers are always available. You can also get some figures from ITV and (albeit they're obviously historic) Primetime.

I can just imagine it now Josh Warrington throwing 40 punches to every 3 that Galahad throws.

Galahad posing and then afterwards crying that he was robbed as he loses a lopsided UD by 9 rounds to 3.

Galahad to take a bit of a beating in some of the later rounds as Washington starts to read him and he slows down.

BARB is mostly nonsense. It's a ''survey" of 5000 people who represent 'average UK viewing habits'.

    It's not a survey.

I think it's probably best to think of it like an exit poll. It's not measuring everyone but it gives some pretty clear indications.

Also, given it's a commercial enterprise, I'm not sure what Sky would have to gain from Hearn/me spouting false figures given the reality will be known widely at an executive/financial level. They also seem to pretty openly report on failure (Froch Kessler II arguably falls into this category) as well as success.

I go along with the idea that if Frank's PPV shows were anything near successful we'd know about them.

You can bet your bottom dollar on it. Maybe his first shows haven’t been a disaster but it’s clear they were far from a success. To put Warrington PPV again would be a terrible move by Frank IMO.

Depends on whether he has to or not.

If there's a contract that he provides BT with X shows per year and X number of those shows are PPV then it's likely to be PPV if he has little to no other options.

But as with anything on television, if you don't get the expected viewing figures you won't get a second series, so to speak.
