This. It's a calculated duck from Whyte.

I was being very conservative in my £20m estimations. £5m is a very small slice of that pie imo.

16.6% of total revenue isn't to bad at all , far more people have to get paid than just Whyte and AJ

You do realise that Whyte has to pay people out of that 16.6 per cent.

    He doesn't pocket it himself.

The rest of the revenue goes to AJ and who he needs to pay.

So 16 per cent, out of a share with only one other person. Nah mate.

Whyte just wants the lion share in a rematch if he wins that's it basic if it goes to mandatory no rematch clause is involved. Tbh if aj had said 5 million for the fight in rematch dillion u get 51 a get 49 he would took it . U imagine the numbers a rematch would do. You would have aj road to redemption whyte mocking him over over 1 each in victories trilogy lol it would make insane money for both parties altho imo Joshua beats whyte anyway and no 3rd fight takes place. Think whyte is being overestimated by a couple his wins here. Parker top 10 average. Chisora has he ever been world class nope he barely scraped by takam who was awful last fight and Browne a old bouncer if whyte beats Ortiz or povetkin better than wilder or aj then maybe chance but just now he still at best the 4th best which stil up debate

You call Parker and Chisora average yet who else is ahead of them in top 10 outside top 4???

And styles make fights. So you can't compare previous AJ opponents.

Today Whyte has the best chance of beating AJ.

He is fresh, prime, experienced, KO power, multiple punches... stronger and bigger than povetkin. Durable.

I like him even more, will fight anyone but isn't going to get paid peanuts - and people saying 5 million isn't peanuts, it is in the grand scheme of things. People seem to forget that Whyte and AJ is still a very big fight in this country.

ahead of Parker and chisora ? Imo Povetkin Ortiz are clearly above Parker and chisora and a few on here would argue pulev also Miller personally wouldn't but also think Ortiz povetkin and usyk give whyte massive probs and would all be much harder than chisora or Parker

Pfahaha, Whyte would handle Ortiz EASILY. Trust me.

Ortiz is useless right now, even Dave Allen took him some rounds. Little old, undedicated weekend warrior Dave Allen.

Ortiz has no achievements, he has no worked hard enough, he is an underachiever. Parker and Chisora would beat Ortiz. No problem.

    Let alone Whyte...

Don't worry - if Whyte fights Ortiz next for whatever reason at the O2, I'll be there to record Whyte wooping his ass for you.

Povetkin would trouble Whyte I agree, still think Whyte wins.

Parker and Chisora are above Ortiz for damn sure. And Pulev??? Jeez louise...... how long will we keep mentioning his name? What has he done???

I struggle to see how people don't rate Whyte. I would genuinely call the HW division the top 4 and everyone else is miles behind. I also thing Whyte wears down Wilder to the body and brutally KOs him inside 9 rounds. I also give Whyte a great chance against Tyson

I heard Whyte say earlier that they believe the fight could gross £40m between him and Joshua. Really not sure about them figures but if that was the case, that £5m looks even worse.

I’ve gained more respect for him. He’ll fight someone else, and try and earn a mandatory where he’d get a better deal on a rematch should he somehow pull off an epic win.

He thinks he is worth more and is taking a gamble ,he will probably fight Breazeale in April.I hope he wins and becomes mandatory ,but if he loses he has no one else to blame because he could have taken the title shot and, if he won named his own price in the future.
£5000,000 and a chance at the title, and I believe that was the second offer,[there has been an improved third,] how many fighters would jump at that chance?
