He's not big and strong though. He's Lomachenko's height, and he's not really built. He should probably be fighting at 140.

Lopez wasn't trained by Garcia when he fought them. Garcia has a way of bringing out the best in a certain type of fighter.

Dont you think that had more to do with Thurman being rusty and is a guy that likes to stay on the outside and box?

Bonecrusher was a hard puncher. Even Marvis Frazier beat him over 10 rounds when he boxed, but if someone traded with Bonecrusher or got hit by him he was usually hurt. He was rather slow and lumbering.

He punched about as hard as most heavyweights do. His "reputation" had a lot to do with his name.

A 52% KO percentage isn't the KO percentage of a banger.

    It really isn't.

That's only slightly above average for a fighter, and below average for a HW. I'd say Tyson, Foreman and Lewis hit harder than Ruddock.

When I saw a 52% KO percentage being attributed to Bonecrusher Smith, I knew something had to be wrong.
Bonecrusher's record was 44-17-1, with 32 KOs. That's 32 KOs in 44 wins, which is a 71% KO percentage. I've always seen KO percentages formulated from bouts won and not total bouts.

I think it's more down to the opposition he has faced in that time span and also the way he fights. Just watching him, you can CLEARLY see that hes a dynamic boxer and athlete.

What was Kendall Holt's KO %? I dont know what it was off the top of my head but try telling a knowledgeable fan that he couldnt punch. They'd probably slap you and pull your casual card, so from then on you'd have to get your fix through MMA.

This is why you should read every post in a thread you are gonna post in, because a lot of times someone will share the same sentiments but are far better at articulating those thoughts.

If Guerrero and Porter say you are the hardest hitter they've ever faced, then you hit hard as mother fuk'r

Everyone hits the deck against Thurman. Everyone gets hurt.

If you go a half decade without blasting somebody out and you're still in your original weight class that matters.

hes a solid hitter, but he has turned more defensive now that he has more to lose, so he doesnt push for the ko if it means putting himself in danger. everyone left at the top will exploit keiths reluctance to jump in the trenches and will push him into looking like hes past it. thurman loses to spence, crawford, m. garcia, and i currently also see manny and shawn beating him.

It's not so interesting how hard Thurman hit, but where the hell is Keith Thurman now? He has not fought anyone for 2 years.
