Probably. The point remains that if you're unable to see how little you bring to the table in comparison to your opponent, then you aren't going to be able to accept the offer. That's the risk so many fighters are operating under. They cannot get a bigger amount of money anywhere else other than an AJ fight. And if they don't accept, they run the risk of losing whatever other fight they take, for less money, and then drop into potential oblivion.
I havent lost respect for Whyte as he takes difficult fights when he hasn't had too. I do however think he is making a big mistake not taking the AJ fight. I know money is very important but I don't get ANY boxer (Inc Wilder & Fury) turning down the chance to become Champion of the World. If these boxers truly believed they would beat AJ then imagine the money they could negotiate with once they had beaten him. Some people might say the 50/50 rematch split is unfair however the money they would both get would be huge. These boxers need to think about themselves and not think how much their opponents are getting. I hope Whyte wins his next fight and gets another chance to fight for a world title as I think he deserves it.
Why should he take the fight without the proper training camp ? According to White this should of been set in place last Sept but he knew he wasn't option no.1 and others were ahead - But as soon as Deontay and Fury said the rematch was on, then Eddie should have been trying to get this done instead of sending emails without reply to Deontay and complaining on Utube about it
He obviously wasn't no 1 choice and I think any person would accept that. However as soon as he knew Wilder Fury were going to rematch then he was in pole position and he should have been in full training getting ready to fight AJ. I get it's not ideal but an offer to fight for HW championship of world does not come around very often. Dont get me wrong I am a big Whyte fan and he definitely deserves a crack of the title but refusing this opportunity will mean he might not get another offer for over 12 months. I applaude him for taking difficult fights in the meantime but it's a high risk game. I will still be cheering him on in the meantime as like I said I am still a big whyte fan.
I only lost respect for Whyte when he started mocking Fury and his mental illness issues, that was bang out of order, as was saying Sam Sexton didn't want to fight him because he was too busy on a farm with Lambs. Sexton was dealing with the passing of his mum.

Guys turned into a deluded idiot , who believes his own publicity , his so called miraculous return since he got sparked by AJ , has been orchestrated by Hearn , his fights were gimmee fights , he went life and death with gatekeeper Chisora for fook sake TWICE , he beat a overweight undertrained , fat out of shape Brown , He beat a unintrested only there for the money Viking , harldy setting the world on fire was he , . Now he turns down 5 mill and a 50-50 rematch , and lets have it right 5 mill will probably be his biggest payday ., IF he beat AJ the rematch would be huge and 50-50 of a 50 mill rematch = 25 mill , but he's deluded he will not beat AJ if he gets a fight in the first place , i think he's pissed of the important man Barry Hearn , and will now actually have to fight for his supper , he still wants to be ppv and Eddie has said , he's gambling , because now they will not pay out for an easy fight its Otiz , Breazeale , or Polevtkin , his easy fight cherry picked win days have gone , all because he got greedy and values himself to high Guy is a goose , he manages himself and it shows ,
