I would say Molina, Gonzalez and Vargas.

It was a nice fight to watch but it wasn’t nice quite the same as the 1st one as it was more of a tactical fight than the war it was the 1st one. The 1st half of the fight de la Hoya controlled the fight with the jab and his footwork which made it hard for Mosley to come inside and land his fast shots and combinations. De la Hoya also landed some nice bodyshots and headshots whereas Mosley seemed very hesitant to throqnto man the punches and de la Hoya outworked him as a result. In the 2nd half of the fight Mosley upped his workrate and his confidence started rising and this meant that Mosley starting throwing his punches and landing his combos and hard right hands and left hooks. Whereas de la Hoya was still making the rounds close with his jab and maintained a good workrate and also landed some big right hands of his own throughout and boxed a lot more tactically throughout using his boxing skills rather than brawling. Overall de la Hoya boxed very smartly, used giant jab well and landed it consistently, used hisnfootowork well to manage the range and stay of the ropes and keep on the outside, landed some good bodyshots of his own, displayed good defence to make it hard for Mosley to land cleanly, was landing very cleaning and accurately throughout, displayed a very high ring iq in how he fought and landed some nice combos and hard flashy shots of his own. Whereas Mosley landed some big power shots of his own like the right hand and left hook, adapted well in the 2nd half of the fight and showed good stamina at the end but was poor in the 1st half of the fight not throwing much, very hesitant, wasn’t utilising his pressure and footwork well till later in the fight. In the 2nd half Mosley performed much better improving in all aspects of his fight but in my opinion de la Hoya won a competitive fight and should have won. What scores did very one else have and what fights should I watch next?

Finally got around to watching Jermell Charlo vs Tony Harrison and all I can say is I do not understand these loud cries of robbery on Facebook and YouTube comment sections, I swear they attract the biggest no-nothing fans of the sport

I had it 114-114 or 6-6 in rounds

    I scored Harrison rounds 2-4, 9 and 10
    Charlo I had win rounds 1, 6-8, 11 and 12

I did give Harrison round 2 but felt a little guilty about it but then again Hazzard Jr gave Harrison the 6th

Here is a summary of my takeaways:

-The crowd did not boo the decision
-Charlo's corner begged him to go for the KO going into round 12
-After round 10 PBC highlights of the first 10 rounds showed more highlights for Harrison than Charlo
    -Charlo ate jabs all night
-Harrison landed solid counter rights all night and typically responded with a counter any time Charlo landed something
-Charlo missed constantly and his jab was not effective at all

That commentary team was an echo chamber of terrible
"he cant win by boxing like this"
"he cant get a decision in a championship fighting this defensive"
-they ignored constant good work by Harrison and were giving Charlo points for missing punches and merely coming forward. Round 9 was especially nauseating as Charlo got nailed by a right hand and put his gloves out and the team still had something negative to say about Harrison after Charlo landed nothing of note in the round and swallowed a right hand with no response

I'm not trying to sound biased I just thought the commentary crew was awful, the Larry Hazzard scorecard was dreadful but not as bad as his score in the main event with Jermall Charlo vs Korobov, and the cries of foul and robbery are just way off the mark

That said I think the 116-112 for Harrison is a poor score but I think 115-113 is well within the realm of possibility just flip round 6 on my card and tuh duh

I think a rematch would be a very interesting fight. I saw both Charlos that night as plodding, easily countered and not able to adapt or adjust. However, both gutted out the final rounds of the fight and had big 12th rounds when they needed it and I have to commend them for that. Jermell hits very hard and Harrison was cognoscente of that fact all night and fought accordingly. Harrison caught the attention of Charlo a few times but only seemed to rock him maybe one time. Can Harrison fight that safe, careful and limiting fight for 12 rounds again and win? I dont know. Can Charlo improve his jab and be better prepared for counters, we will see. I will say there were still plenty of missed opportunities for Harrison with Charlo completely out of position when missing that did not get taken advantage of

    Fernando Vargas vs Winky Wright

I had this fight even 114-114 or 6 rounds a piece

    Vargas taking: 1,3,4,7,10,and 12
    Wright winning: 2,5,6,8,9,and 11

I agreed with Davd Hess who had it 114-114 too
The 116-112 was far too wide
    Lederman had it 115-113 Wright

Lederman and I had it even after 6 and the punch stats were basically level kind of how Pacquiao vs Marquez II was at stretches. I dont like to cite punch stat but I think in this case it is a good indicator of how close the match started off.

I thought Wright's corner made a big mistake telling him he was up big after round 9 and Wright clearly took his foot off the gas losing the 10th and the 12th and on my card not closing the fight allowed Vargas all he needed to pull even from behind.

Post fight Vargas cited out of the ring distractions as a reason behind his performance. I dont like excuses but I would say he looked a little flat compared to other performances and even maybe a little softer as far as hisbody goes.

Not a bad fight to watch at all. Felt like the 1st rounds were reasonably close with de la Hoyas workrate and bodywork was winning him some rounds whereas sturm was much more accurate with the jab and landing some hard shots to the head to win him some rounds and all with it being even on my card are the half way stage. In the second half the fight it felt like sturm took over with de la Hoya seeming to gas and abandon the bodywork a lot which meant that sturm could fight in close which worked well for him and land cleanly and his workrate seemed to increase a little in the 2nd half and his jabs were causing de la Hoya troubles throughout. Sturms accuracy, jab and hard headshots won him the 2nd half the fight. Overall de la Hoya displayed good bodywork, high workrate, did his best work on inside and some nice combos throughout. Whereas sturm utilised his jab brilliantly landing it and will and powerfully to unsettle de la Hoya, displayed great accuracy, nice hard single shots like the left hook and right straight, displayed good defence making it hard for de la Hoya to land cleanly especially to the head, boxed well on inside and outside, utilised his footwork to keep himself out of de la Hoyas range and making de la Hoya walk in to the jab and grew in confidence throughout. Good fight but on way de la Hoya should have won, a robbery honestly. What scores did everyone else have? @CST80 thanks for all the de la Hoya fights u recommended, some great fights indeed. Happy I’ve watched them.

It was a good fight to watch felt like Harrison did control the fight with the jab tho, Charlo did have a high workrate throughout but Harrison displayed the better accuracy throughout. Charlo did land some very hard shots which helped Win him some rounds but Harrison showed great defense to make Charlo miss a lot as well as Landing the jab and right hand constantly. Overall Charlo displayed constant pressure throughout, landed some big left hooks and hard fights, showed a high workrate and fought decently on inside. Whereas Harrison showed a great jab, nice right hand, boxed well on backfoot using his footwork to manage the range well, displayed great defence making Charlo miss a lot, showed high ring iq in how he fought, showed great accuracy and heart. It was a good fight and could see a close Charlo win but I did have Harrison edging the fight. What scores did everyone else have?

I watched both martinez/williams when they happened and I was very disappointed in kellerman for interviewing williams after being bamboozaled. In the fight game. You dont do that. Let the fighter recall, or try to anyways, the events that just took place. Just my opinion but bush league by Max that night

Felix def beat Oscar that night. Oscar's fight before Sturm was the rematch with Mosely. which is another one, or both, you should score. But he loses the rematch with shane, takes the fight with Felix to get back into the groove of things, has a tough time and gets a gift W. That gift W set him up for a nice payday with Hopkins the very next fight. And got KOed.

What a battle this was between 2 warriors. Both showed heart and chins especially frampton. The whole fight was mainly frampton showing glimpses of quality in terms of landing great shots and going toe to toe with Warrington but Warrington displayed a tremendous workrate and power to always be able to come out on top but frampton landed some great shots throughout and won a couple of rounds as a result. Both used the jab well and showed good accuracy but Warrington just made the fight go how he wanted on the inside and a slugfest at times. Overall Warrington displayed a nice jab, good variety of punches, good accuracy, boxed great on the inside, used his footwork to get himself to positions and control the ring, displayed good accuracy, great workrate throughout and constant pressure, worked both the head and body well, landed some great combos as well, showed great speed and power and fought a great fight. Whereas frampton did land the flashier punches, showed good accuracy as well, nice jab when used, also worked both body and head well, threw some good combos and single shots and nice speed throughout. Great fight but Warrington won this comfortably. What scores did everyone else have?

Not the best of fights but thought I’d watch another one of framptons fights. Boring 1st half of the fight with frampton controlling the fight with the jab and right straight, quigg showing a good defense but not throwing anything of note to win these rounds. Frampton didn’t land much leat besides the jab but it was enough to win the rounds. In the 2nd half of the fight quigg seemed to switch on and turn it up. Quigg started throwing some punches like the jab and some hooks but frampton was still Landing the jab and some flashy shots like the right straight and left hook. Both showed patience throughout and waited for the other to make mistakes and this made for a boring fight overall. Frampton showed great speed, good jab and right straights thrown, nice 1-2, good footwork to make it hard for quigg to get inside and land his punches, nice defense and head movement to make quigg question when to throw, decent combos and single shots, boxed well throughout and showed good heart and chin. Whereas quigg was doing well defensively making it hard for frampton to land cleanly, landed some decent counter right hands, came on well later in the fight and did land the harder punches but in my opinion I had frampton winning comfortably. What scores did everyone else have?

Am I being daft here or is the first round of a fight usually hard to score? I know anything can happen in any round etc, but I often find that the first round is a 'working out' or 'getting into rhythm' round and could quite often be a drawn round, but 10-10 is often frowned upon by others.

it can be quite cagey the 1st couple of rounds I feel but I can usually separate the boxers tho. I never use 10 - 10 rounds honestly but I have no problem with it being used
