1 of UFC biggest fan bases Australia get royally screwed again here with this card which is nothing more then a shitty fight night card and I'm just glad I couldn't get tickets
It's not UFC fault he got injured but if they stacked the card like they should have for a supposed big PPV,his injury wouldn't have exposed the weak quality of the undercard which is there fault because they decided not to add any quality fighters probably because they had already sold it out so quickly with what the fights they had anounced at that stage
Its not just Whitaker they should always have insurance policies in place at least on these PPV events like they had in the past with having stand by fighters who are paid to train and weigh in or better yet have a decent undercard that includes fighters that can step in and that still has enough quality fights that make the card worth watching.
Totally disagree he has been injured and had to pull out of fights twice,he has had fights cancelled due to his opponents injuries etc. more times then that.
[QUOis theTE="Boxingfan200, post: 19675253, member: 116083"]strip him of the belt his title reign has been bs[/QUOTE] WTF LOL why would they ever do that he fought 6 months ago in a war and one of the best fights of all time against a fighter who missed weight against him twice in a row, there has been far worse situations with champs pulling out and not defending for longer periods? Just had a look this is the 2nd time in his career he has had to pull out of a fight for any reason, this time the night before with something totally out of his control
**** happens and as other posters have said stack the card with decent fights. In case something happens to your main event at the 11th hour.
I was being somewhat faecitious. Still all these injuries adding up at such a young age doesn't bode well for a long career.
I think those wars with Romero probably took some years off his and Romeros careers also, especially that last fight which Romero still hasn't returned from yet.
sad thing is they keeping it a ppv still lol... $60 to watch 43 year old in main event... stuff like this is why I am starting to hate the ufc more and more..
