Paul said he feels bad that da media did no coverage for then real boxer's with r skilled wit style . them year's boxer's been missing on coverage because of them rugby players want a fight some only have 1 some only 2 sunny bill only 4 an more , Paul Gallen first football player to point this out about media coverage for da under card there da boxer's not us , my fight wit Hops , Justin's fight . Tszyu fight . Media coverage was just about us . Paul Gallen U got my respect . Buy Saying It's Wrong they deserve better #

To much cotton wool around Tim Tszyu to many easy as fights have to get Tim harder one . Otherwise it will be harder later on he has skills easy fights won't help his timing at top world titles tough as that leavel .. Because his name is Tszyu . bet ya Tim will have a world TITLE shot buy next year . his name will put lots of money in There Pocket's ..

Three weeks from tomorrow will be the anniversary of his last one.

 

They need to step him up but let's remember he only had 34 domestic level amateur fights & has only had 12 pro fights.

Tszyu had 11 fights in his first 2 years as a pro. Mexican Mungo, who is currently the #1 ranked Junior Middle in the world on Boxrec, had the same number in his first 2 years as a pro. Mexican Mungo only fought 2 guys with winning records in that time. Tszyu's last 6 have been against guys with winning records so he's not being matched as badly as some are saying.

Having said that, he's clearly ready for a higher class of opponent & they do need to make those fights for him if he's to develop the skills he's going to need at the pointy end of the sport & reach his full potential.

I think give him a couple of well-credentialed international opponents of known quantity & then set about cleaning out the local Junior Middleweight ranks. It's the best division in Australia so he may as well take advantage of it. With both fights & sparring.

 

Thanks Sandman, young Tim looks pretty impressive in beating whoever is put in front of him its all he can do , having said that Denton has had a long career and at 34 years of age one has to wonder just how good a test this was for Tim and what ? ( if anything) will Tim have learned from this outing . how far away weight wise is Tim from that kid Kel Brooke had trouble with, Zeraffa ?

 

Tszyu & Zerafa are the same weight, Outlaw. The latest is Zerafa is fighting Mundine next up. Zerafa appears to have dropped the Commonwealth strap rather than defend it against Tszyu which is a shame. But if the money is right, there should be no reason why that fight can't get made down the track.

I think Junior Middle is the best weight division in our part of the world right now. In terms of a rough running order, I'd rate them something like this:

1. Jeff "Horndog" Horn 19-1-1 (13) Former WBO Welter champ
2. Dennis "Irish Hulkster" Hogan 28-1-1 (7) Current WBO mandatory & former world title challenger
3. Michael "Full Monty" Zerafa 25-3 (14) Former Commonwealth champ
4. Bowyn "Mad Dog" Morgan 19-1 (9) New Zealand champ
5. Dwight "Wake in Fright" Ritchie 18-1 (2)
6. Tim "The Toolman" Tszyu 12-0 (10)
7. Jamie Weetch 12-3 (5) Pushed Dennis Hogan hard in the early going last start
8. Joel Camilleri 16-5-1 (7) Fights for the vacant Australian title next start

Plenty of talent there for Tszyu to test his mettle against. He should be looking to do some sparring with the first two on the list & to the others as prospective opponents.

Junior Middleweight is strong at the moment with all the fighter's there .
