Whether the offer was genuine or not, they asked for a contract and never saw one. They then asked on numerous occasions for face to face meetings without any reply. Surely your intelligent enough to realise that a multi million pound deal needs to be agreed by a signature on a contract rather than just replying on a text with a yes.
I was there against Povetkin and I would say the 80k capacity stadium was near enough a sell out which is more than any other UK fighter would have done.
If we are comparing AJ to Fury then all the Fury fan boys keep going on about how popular he is over in America however they are basing it on a fight with Wilder which I agree was the biggest fight in the HW division so far. However, if either Fury or Wilder fought Miller then would they sell out and generate over $40m of prize money. I think the answer to that is No.
Like I keep saying over and over again, if I was a challenger and desperate to win all the titles then I would personally be banging down the door of the champion morning noon and night however that isn't happening., and all I hear is pure silence.

In an era of 3 huge heavyweights at the top of the tree, 2 are prepared to fight.
Everybody knew the plan last summer for the other one was Povetkin followed by Whyte. Unfortunately Joshua wanted over 80% of the Whyte purse and he's now having to prop up DAZN for Eddie.
Soon Tony Hayers and yourself will be telling us what a good fighter Pulev is.

Two were prepared to fight because neither were that popular so splits were easier to make and agree.
I know money pays a big part and each boxer wants the most they can get however if I was a challenger then I would except the lesser split just to be able to fight for the belts. If they are that confident of beating AJ then they would be in the driving seat when negotiating there next fights after AJ. The arguments that AJ not wanting to fight are poor but people don't see it because there judgement is blinded by the hatred of AJ or their love for Fury.

The funniest thing about the money talk is that Wilder V Fury was supposedly the fight which showed heavyweights don't need Joshua to generate the big bucks.

Then Joshua winds up the second richest boxer in the world. With Fury and Wilder absolutely nowhere to be seen.

Gareth A Davies predicts a million PPV sales in USA for Wilder-Fury2. At about $70 each, plus UK and worldwide sales.
Only a complete moron would claim that they are absolutely nowhere to be seen.

Unless Joshua gets too greedy with the rematch clauses which has already scuppered the Whyte fight.

Which exactly proves my point - how do they know whether AJ is getting too greedy with the rematch clauses if they want even speak to him. If they did meet and AJ was being ridiculous then you may have a point but currently you cannot use these arguments when one party won't even talk

We know because Dillian Whyte revealed it.
Shelly Finkel was prepared to go on air with Hearn and show the emails and messages between them from trying to make the Wilder-AJ fight.
Hearn said on an interview that the money was there and then changed his mind 2 months later. You are happy that Hearn was telling the truth when it suits your argument but happy to gloss over his complete contradiction.

Always next time with this sort of thing isn't it? I mean, what do real figures earned and real figures sold mean when all the proof you need for popularity is a complete guess from, of all people, Gareth A Davies.

Emails are one thing but where is the most important document - the contract!
The rematch clause for AJ Whyte would I imagine would have no where near been the same for AJ Wilder, just like the splits were different. This debate is still ifs buts and maybes because again Wilder team refuse to talk. How easy would this all be if they sat around a table negotiating and then no speculation would be needed
Take your hatred away from AJ and just look at the realistic facts in front of you from a business point of view.

Don't think the 50m offer was really ever serious, Think they tried to exploit the vid AJ made for more publicity and to raise Deonatys profile all the while knowing he could never accept due to signed contracts with Sky ect for exclusivity on AJs fights. But be great knowing you can throw numbers raise your fighters profile all the while knowing the percentage of them accepting is 0 - You'd be stupid to think Al Haymon didn't know about the exclusivity contracts AJ is signed up too before that offer was made.
