For the 124578 time, Evander Holyfields ENTIRE legacy is based on beating a washed up Tyson twice............in his other signature fights he won 2 out of 7 .......let that math sink in for a minute......2 out of 7.

On one hand Tyson is a front running bully who folds like a cheap suit every time someone stands up to him but when it comes to to Holyfield and Lewis Tyson is turned into this " incredible dangerous"lol, opponent who can only be beat with the intervention of gods who helped said heros like Holyfiled/Lewis to beat him in "herculean "fashion , against all odds.

Then to the myth that Holyfield has Tyson's number ten out of ten................up to his prison term he cleaned out the ENTIRE division, was the p4p fighter of the year"(s), unified the belts against or defended them against PRIME ZERO looses opponents while making it look easy ........got caught napping against a fighter who had all the stars and some lined up, the ultimate flash in the pan , who showed his level in his first defense................took on the No1 most dangerous fighter at the time, Razor Ruddok and gave him the beating of a life time.

Sat in the can for years to come, was never ever in any condition to go a hard 12 after, ever, looked like shid against absolute sub par opposition for a handful of rounds and lost against Holyfield twice, who maybe was slightly shop worn but was ACTIVE and obsessed to fight Tyson his entire career.........Tyson fought nothing but bums in his comeback besides Holyfield/Lewis...there is nothing on his ledger that suggests otherwise, it does not even come close to how he dispatched similar bums or world class opposition in his first term.....in other words Tyson 's resume is utter garbage after prison........when you quit after a couple of rounds against a stoned shot Tyson or you getting out boxed by a C level Buffalo then you know what bottom feeders he was fed with.

Anyway, prime Tyson from the 80's beats Holyfield from pillar to post and stops him, it will be a replay of the Cooper /Bowe1 fights where he cant help himself to just brawl and no matter how many PED's he is on will not help him to survive Tyson's body assault, Holyfields MAJOR weak point, and the head will follow.

Tyson didn`t use his square on stance which allowed him to switch hit on opponents under Rooney against Evander his feet positioning was dire.

It was dire because Holyfield never allowed him to get set, Tyson didn't know what to do when put on the back foot.

While i agree he wasn't in top shape for Douglas the entire bolded and underlined simply cannot be claimed. It's just not true.

I think Holy would have had his moments, but he certainly would have been in the top 10 of the division.

C'mon now, some of you are very biased. Will say anything to Big Up your man & denigrate the other guy.

    Prime Tyson was great.
We do not have evidence he used PEDs. Anyone could have, but no decent indication whatsoever.
    Holyfield was also an ATG.
Though he clearly took PEDs, & would not have been nearly as good as a HW clean & a little over 200.
Whatever he lost in work rate & speed, he needed the bulk & strength fight the Big Boys effectively.
Including Tyson. But he should get Full Credit for those fights & the manhaldling.

Not really, since Tyson couldn’t fight on the inside like Bert could and wasn’t used to taking the abuse Bert had to take to get the openings he did on Holyfield. Bert Cooper when he wasn’t drugged out of his mind could bang with anyone.

There was no one that would've been favoured to beat Tyson pre prison, even if he rematched Douglas he would've been heavy favourite

Absolutely but the fact is Douglas beat him.

I genuinely feel sorry for Tyson that he did not receive an immediate rematch. Given his sensational run and dominance he truly deserved one. Tho i think he would have won we can't simply gift him the win without the bout taking place.

Tyson was actually (somehow) a 2-1 favorite over Holyfield in their rematch and we know what happened there.

Again i do think he'd have beaten Douglas but i would have liked to have seen it actually happen.

I agree, but Douglas's stars aligned for him that night, he was on fire and could never repeat it imo, while Tyson was on self destruct..Tyson pre cutting corners stops Tokyo Douglas like every other challenger he beat imo..Very very rare opportunity for Douglas and he grabbed it with both hands
