36, out 5 years?,, he'll have to reach deep into the cupboard for a tomato can to make him look viable for big money. He'll get wiped out at 154 and I can't see him making 147 again.. geez I liked him too, hate to see it.
If I remember correctly he’s heavily invested in Anheuser-Busch, which isn’t the best company to be invested in at the moment.
That is probably what happened, but 5 years away and his style was sort of a young man's style. It is hard to see him do well. He let things go a little too long. He should have stuck with the game as got as much money as he could when he was prime, and then spent it and invested.
how much money did Maidana earn in his career? That must suck to earn that much and then spend it all and know either you fight again and try to earn it again, where he probably won't or have to spend logically. I always feel if I would come into money I would try to at least buy a house or two, then if I didn't have money I wouldn't have a house payment too bad anyway, and I could then be happy with that. I hope Maidana bought a house and things so that he doesn't have to fight anymore.
There is always a ratio that people must adhere to. ALWAYS have currency saved in dollars, Euros or British pounds. Never go full ****** with investments. Understand bonds/assets/instruments and how markets move up down in bear/bull cycles. There is always a right time to invest and a wrong time to invest. Most people always invest wrong.
Odds have to be that he never beats a top 20 ranked opponent... Hopefully he proves me wrong. Maidana was always a great watch.
You know PBC will serve Maidana/Broner II to us on a steak fork. (not that it's a terrible thing, just predictable) Maidana wins = comeback success and another big fight Broner wins = keeping his career relevant for another big fight
He used to be one of my favourites when active, but I don't see a return ending well so would rather see him stay retired. Looking back, I wish he took that Thurman fight. That was a winnable fight for him back then.
the best thing about MM is that when Khan wanted to rematch him after MM had fought Floyd twice MM's reaction was "I've just made millions fighting Floyd twice, I don't have to fight anyone, I'm gonna drink beer and go fishing", I didn't think beer and fishing was that expensive but he must have spent that money somewhere, what wait is he coming back as? Cruiser?
Im surprised. He shouldn't have left if he wasn't going to retire permanently. How long will he take to get fit? What weight? Will Maidana be the same of old?
