Whyte will still fight in April, so he clearly never fancied it. And the “not long enough for a camp” excuse is nonsense. Whyte wanted TWENTY WEEKS for a fight! That is absolutely insane!
He should have taken £5M..... How much would he get against Wilder / Fury?? Not even close to that much. And he's only the challenger. Hearn will be butt-sore after this !
Whyte wanted Joshua to sign up for drug testing 16 weeks before a fight with him and referenced his training camp in Dubai.
If he wasn't in position the 13 April Wembley show would be happening. Whyte boxed on 22 December and was tested. He is obviously concerned with Joshua's overseas training camps.
I heard Whyte mention the prep being too short for an AJ fight, yet it’s fine against anyone else... Doing a 20 week camp (that is absolutely absurd for a Boxer) makes me wonder if he himself isn’t on the good stuff.
I think you've got mixed up. There's not even 20 weeks between his fights. Whyte is signed up to the WBC Clean Boxing Programme and isn't disappearing abroad after every fight.
Amazed this as done 9 pages. It’s like the old marshmallow test they use to test 4 year olds emotional intelligence. They’re left alone in a room with a couple of marshmallows on a plate for 15 mins. They’re told that they can eat them if they want, but if they choose not to, the adult will come into the room after 15 mins and give them more as a reward. Whyte’s just waiting for more marshmallows (the mandatory shot) that he feels he’s entitled to. He believes in himself whether you feel rightly or wrongly, that deserves respect.
True, but Whyte asked for 20 weeks to prep and not 16. Floyd & Manny didn’t need that for each other!
Where did Whyte ask for 20 weeks? Ridiculous.. And are you from Brixton? Then why do you hate on Whyte in every thread? You must have ran into him by now... maybe some bad blood? Lost a sparring match?
I reckon so. Did over 500,000 ppv’s against Parker, did about half that against Chisora but the clash with BT didn’t help. Against Povetkin, Breazeale or Ortiz he’ll do good numbers again. So I don’t blame him for putting AJ on back burner for a bit. @mcvey if he loses against AJ he’s back to square one anyway and for the similar kind of money he could pick up against a Povetkin. Fighting AJ should be a very financially lucrative proposition so it’s worth rinsing it for what he can.
No link yeah? That would be really helpful. What has he said or done to show him as being deluded... if it's just the recent purse split stuff then fine...entitled to your opinion but that was recently... What is delusional about him?
